i'm interested in the source of this hype.

 

i think it's bullshit seeing as how they've done massive studies on weed as it relates to cancer and have found that in every case i've ever seen it not only lowers the rate of getting cancer, but also speeds recovery. look at the wikipedia page on cannabis and it will cite a study involving mice and rats that were force fed cannabinoids through corn oil. this is not hte only one. i heard recently thc will actually attack the cancer cells.

no problem, if you read it in the guardian then they'll definitely have the same story somewhere on their web site - a story of this nature is very significant, especially regarding the amount of people that smoke it..

although the guardian's a very liberal newspaper.

The thing with studies like these is

All the potheads are just going to immediately dismiss it as bullshit because they don't want to believe it

and all the anti-drug people are just going to immediately accept it so they have ammunition to use against the potheads

I heard this story on NPR's Morning Edition, but I can't find it on the playlist of today's show. Here's the Guardian link, and a Medical Journal, neither of which I have read.

Anyhow, the story I heard said that while there was an increased occurrence of some rare form of testicular cancer in pot smokers, especially in those who started smoking pot early, there was no evidence of a causal relationship between pot smoking & cancer.

I'm gonna go do a bong hit and play with my nuts now.

just don't hold your breath, because this study was about as scientific as using your finger to measure temperature in a pan of boiling water

 

show me the actual study and i'll read it. i don't read articles on studies till i have read the study
