I am going to be in the Netherlands during my 21st birthday, and I was wondering if I should go to Amsterdam for the Cannibus or to some other destination in Europe.
Well, I've been to Italy and it was the most beautiful place, but in your shoes, I would be at the Cannabis Cup. I really want like to do that sometime.
The Cannabis Cup is a really great time to be in Amsterdam - especially if you appreciate the herb. One word of caution - it is monstrously busy - book accomodation early. Personally, I prefer a quieter time - but did have a great few days when I went for the cup.
The CC is a waste of time and money...don't buy a ticket...save your hard earned filthy lucre and go chat to John at Grey Area and buy as much Double Bubblegum as you can...then go stroke the stoned cat at Dampkring, eat the space cake at BaBa, checkin to a freaky room at Greenhouse Effect and climb the stairs having looked at your crystals through the microscope at the bar of the Abraxas...but when you go...go armed to the teeth!
The CC is about the worst reason to go to Amsterdam. Unless,of course,you want to get involved in an very expensive over hyped, over commercialized event.
