    Good afternoon, fellow hippies,

These are a few photos taken on my recent trip to Cania Gorge, in central Queensland (Australia). I did a big random loop-shaped sort of journey over a couple of days, doing bird surveys and generally getting out into the bush.

Cania Gorge is really nice, but a very long way from anywhere, so takes a bit of effort to get to. Once you do get there, though, the rock formations and cliffs are really stunning....

And there had been a bit of rain not so long ago, so there were wildflowers open, too:

I've put small versions of the images up, because I'm on dialup and the big ones take forever to open. But if you want to see the bigger versions (and a few more photos I've run out of time/patience to put here!) they're on my Flickr page at

    Enjoy!
