A friend of mine had cancer again. She was told to ‘stay out of the sun’. She was given vitamin D pills, but her D levels aways stayed low. The doctor finally agreed that she could get some sunshine, but not more than 20-30 minutes. Once she did that, her D levels went up to what the doctor wanted.
Vitamin D needs sunshine to synthesize in order for the human body to use it... Doctors should know this.
They should, but everyone with cancer and getting cemo that I know of is told to stay away from as much sun as possible. Sometimes I wonder do they want to get rid of cancer or just push the pills, cemo, and radiation.
Everything that we need to stay healthy can also kill us. It is similar to drinking enough water without jumping in the river and drowning. Cancer is the most difficult condition on the planet, since no foreign organic bodies are involved. Put simply, it is like having an army to protect our body and making sure that the soldiers do not get out of control and murder us.
Vitamin D doesn't just allow you to never see the sun again. Really wondering where that doctor went to medical school. They are called supplements for a reason, they supplement the intake, they don't completly replace the intake. I've been taking supplemets for a long time and I can really feel a difference from when I occasionally stop for a week or so. They, of course, work, but that doesn't mean I schouldn't consume any more vitamin C from fruits just because I take a supplement.
Vitamin D pills work in the Winter. I get the All Over Tan in the Summer . Vitamin D is VERY Important in these times of Covid !
Melanoma and other cancers of the skin that are related to sun exposure really suck, but many doctors consider prudent sun exposure to outweigh the risks of contracting the many other cancers related to lack of vitamin D. My father has been a daytime naturist since he was a teenager, so he says. I know that he is now. His regular doctor told him to get his many growing "spots" checked by a specialist last year. The specialist told him that he still has the skin of a teenager, and that none of his spots is a kind that turns into anything malignant. I have his skin colour, not my mum's, so I assume that my nude time in the sun will not be a problem for me. Still people, get your spots checked from time to time. I plan to.
I have heard getting about 20 minutes a day is good. Long enough to get Vitamin D, not long enough to get really burned (well supposedly, sometimes you can get burned in 5 minutes)
