Can you or have you communicated with the dead (truth only, thankyou)

Ever since I was very small, I have been able to see and hear people who have passed on.
At first of course I was afraid as anyone would be. I remember there was a little boy who fell of a slide across the road from my house who used to scare me in my room, I later found out that my room used to be his room before he died. After that we lived in quite a few different places, but the scariest was when we lived in the same yard as a church. I remember that there would be people walking up and down the corridors, running around my room as a lay there at night. There were allways people in the kitchen standing around the fridge and coffee table, there were even grave stones in the front yard. I even tried talking to them sometimes, I can never remember what they'd say though.
After that we moved to a few other places and fineally to the place that we are living at now, and I have had so many more expieriences with the dead, most of them were good, I may not see them as clearly as I did when I was young but I can still feel their presence and 'feel' what they look like, I can sometimes hear them as clear as day calling my name or laughing.
There are two spirits that I have gotten to know rather well, they dont want me giving out too much information but they dont mind me saying that one is a young man, who died in a car crash in the late 80's early 90's, he is very comical and lightens any mood you can be so down in the dumps and you feel his presence and you instantly feel better.
The little girl ive gotten to know, is twelve, when I first met her and asked her how she died she told me that she drowned where duckies play. Judging by her clothing I'd say she died maybe in the 50's or 60's. She loves to hang around the young man and loves to sit in my cupbourd, she says she feels safe there.

What sort of expierience(s) have you had?

I'd be really interested to know.

 

I consider beliefs in Ghosts to be about as reasonable as the belief that godzilla is running the UN to bring Japan to be head of a one world Lizard government.

Do your ghosts wear clothes? Why do clothes have an afterlife?

I think anything is possible but that doesn't mean it's definate.

 

I can logically assert that.

From a scientific method standpoint, you start from a position of
skepticism to any proposition or hyposthesis.

Then you collect evidence to support your hypothesis.

This is the stage ghost testing has ended.

Once a proposition has evidence promoted for it, you propose a theory.

Then it moves on to testing and debate.

Since the people asserting ghosts can't test their stories, and often get insulted when you try and debate them, the theroy of ghosts doesn't have any leg to stand on.

Theres not a way to disprove ghosts, but scientific method would lead one to believe, there are in fact, no ghosts.

There are quite a few things the scientific method cannot (or should I say, hasnt) proved- yet.

Do you believe there is life on other planets or galexies? UFOS? As far as I know, except for things like the THEORY of parallel universes these things aren't proven but a lot of people think they are possible.

What about the human brain? There are MANY things about the human brain not known by science (yet?) but that does not mean they don't happen.

(Note- I'm not even saying I believe in "ghosts" because I don't feel strongly either way- I'm just saying that no one really KNOWS either way)

 

I'm not trying to own anybody. LuckyStripe's pretty cool, I'm just trying to point out that ghosts don't exist in the realm of science or evidence.

Yeah, I do understand your point- my point is science doesn't always know everything. Maybe some day things will be proven, maybe not. Who knows.

 

Scientific Method can't prove everything right now, but life on other planets can't be debated because we don't even have the first step in that which would be observation of what might be aliens.

(In the case of Mars we do, and that's being debated through scientific means.)

UFO's are on the same scale as ghosts, just phenomenon which is confusing, although there can be many atmospherical or objects in the air which can look confusing which are often offered as evidence.

We know their are things in the air. So far no ghost has been captured to let us know things can live after they die, or there is a spirit.

We also know there are brains, and the causes of many of the phenomenons we don't fully understand at least have theroies which can be observed through data collection.

Ghosts have none of those criteria.

I never said ghosts are real- I said it's not "IMPOSSIBLE". Duh, science hasn't shown the possibility but not everything is always shown by science (or for example, many things that were not believed were LATER shown by science to be true).

I personally don't think ghosts exist, however, I'd like to think I'm not arrogant enough to go around saying "this DOESN'T exist. Period"

 

Well admitedly there are almost limitless possibilities and one of those could be ghosts.

I certainly don't know everything, and there is a lot more to science then what we know.

I just think we should approach these things by trying to find out, rather then doing what people did in the old days, (spirits or gods.)

But she is young, and I don't know everything, so I'm not trying to give anyone too hard of a time. I just like being a pain in the ass.

 

Hehe, well, I totally agree with this post. My ONLY point was it's a slight possibility and no one can really say it's DEFINATE that they don't exist.

I defiantly agree that people should approach things by trying to find out scientifically instead of hysterics and superstitions.

 

im not narrow minded enough to completely ignore the possibility that they exist. ive heard some pretty whacked out stories about ghosts from people i know well and trust.
