Or should stand for, or the wholle world should stand for too. And what things we should all protest against.
What about..... simplicity, colorfulness, generosity, purity, humor, ecology-minded, Non-patriotic, adventurous, non-prejudiced, affectionate, artistic, strong, kind, empathic, thrifty, creative?

Hippies have a more direct connection with the earth and its creatures. They eat real food as opposed to junk food grown and preserved with chemicals, they don't use things(like cars) that poison or degrade the earth, they put back what they take from mother nature(compost, recycle, reuse), they treat their fellow animal creatures with love, respect and compassion, and they love themselves and don't abuse their bodies by using dangerous drugs or abusing the sacred healing herbs.
if i would protest i would try to do it in a unique way, to to get some attention, to raise consiousness. tell people about all kinds of problems: wars, inequality, unhealthy lifestyle and violence and i would tell them there are plently solutions, some are already in existence, some still have to be sought, but they are out there. but i could start a corporation where people get fired when they are rascistic, sexistic, where i could hire minorities, where i could give people freedom to do their job the way they want to do it and i could use my profits to invest in other corporations with a good attitude. i could try to make some fair-trade environmental-friendly product which is a good alternative for the ones of my competitors in the end i think these kind of actions are way more sustainable and hold much more profit than to protest until you drop, though protests are a good way to raise conciousness somethimes
i also think it is important to look upon the state of democrasies in the world, because it seems like freedom is endangered allmost everywhere sorry for the dubble-post
Ben Harper sums up my own hippie mentality quite nicely: My choice is what I choose to do And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you. Your choice is who you choose to be, And if you're causing no harm, then you're alright with me.
