    Hi all.

Well last time I posted a dream in here , I managed to semi/virtually solve the dream , with the help of some posters , and also reading the thread of someone who had a pretty similar dream to mine.

    So here goes...

    BACKGROUND TO MY DREAM:-
After college I expected to live in London , for a few decades probably.
But I only lived there a very short while- I decided to move elsewhere - rightly or wrongly- I dont know which.
Ive been thinking about moving back , but Im not sure.
It would be a big step because its not like my best friends are all there now ,and I didnt really settle anyway last time.
Also Id be moving my business there , which in itself would be demanding.
*But* all in , it may be a good move , as London is a centre for some things , where "everything happens".

    THE DREAM:-
Im in London , its daytime , and Im trying to get to certain places.
Most of the buildings look weird
    - I dont recognise them .
Also Im casually looking for places- only in a laid back , not a desperate or panicky way.Like Im exploring - like for " a first time".
Things are weird but not in a frightening way.
Im looking for the landmarks like St Paul's Cathedral and Big Ben etc.
The place looks more semi suburban than youd expect the centre of London , much more spread out.
Also Big Ben is like in the South Eastof the Centre ,and it doesnt look the same.
And I only get to see things at a distance. And other landmarks arent in the right places either.
It can seem like a 10 minute or so dream , usually connecting to another dream that I cant really remember.

Ive had it loads of times now- like my subcon is *really* trying to yell something at me.

Can someone pleeeeeeeeeeeease advise me what it means.
Would be really really *really* grateful to anyone who can help!:)
    Its driving me mad !lol
    Best wishes

There lies the conundrum and the reasons for your recurring dream, your indecisiveness.

Then chances are that you will also question your move back, you're still likely to feel 'out of place'.

Which only proves that it isn't a really big decision, you are weighing your options and it may not really be necessary for you to move back.

Again, you seem to be ambivelent to the move. If you move back there is every chance that the business will succed, but that isn't your main concern. Failure doesn't really concern you. So chances are that your business will be just like you are presently experiencing.

Why not explore this area as a possibility? Don't be surprised if you experience dejavu.

If it were from a height then it would signify your aspirations. But as it is from far away, that distance may connote your feeling that you don't fit in, or that you have a long term vision.

It may be best to sit down and scrutinise your business plan and what you think will really help it along. The main concern is your thinking of moving back. Exactly why have you been thinking of moving back? Is it a lover? Do you that you're to meet your future wife there? Is it a calling to your soul, karma, kismet?

    Hi White Feather

Many thanks for your detailed posting.
Strangely I feel more confused about it now than before.
Maybe thats a sign of my subconscious/conscious mind starting to grapple with the issues ... whatever they are.

I'm useless with the quoting thingy , so I'll number them.

I feel the recurring nature is my subcon saying" Look you need to address this fully and stand back from your fears and concerns and look forward".

1st reply- In a way I think its a huge decision tho.
I dont want to stay where I am- I cant believe my future is in my current place at all.
I'm considering a 3rd place where I would settle quickly as I have some very good friends , but it wouldnt help my business and might hence make things "stagnant" ( ie interpersonally unfulfilling ) later on.

I think one question is , if I tried London , how would it be best for me to try and settle in

2nd reply- the business could be massively different in the medium term , tho not the short term. And I do need to leave where I am living now.
My life outside of business could be massively different in London.

3rd- SWest of centre - I almost took a 6mth lease on a place in that area just before I left London.
I think of North West and North East of the river as landmarks and South West as pleasant relaxed residential. The place in the S East I almost rented was nice , no landmarks but surrounded by a potentially violent or dangerous area - I wonder is that significant?

Or alternatively maybe South East means the more suburban South West London where I have a family friend living who wants to help me get started - he always tells me how I should move to London.

I also think of the South West as sort of unfulfilled. The other central areas are all landmarks etc.Maybe it symbolises "potential" , a new challenge , or something like that?

I didnt follow the comment re deja vu sorry.

4th - Hmmm , I dont have to make the decision straightaway for my work.
Yes its part of something longer term.

I might find it hard to fit in straightaway - business friends and social friends are different things. And fitting in socially is my big worry.
But then Ive really had enough of where I live now.

To answer your question , I feel like Im like an alien where I live now.It makes no sense to base my business where I am now.And the girls I tend to meet are not the type Id settle down with- partly because its a small , rough edged little town where lots of young people like me move away from.

Yeah I do believe in instinct , maybe soul -calling.
My biggest regrets were always to ignore my instincts - even the more unusual/outlandish ones.

So yes maybe there is a bit karma calling re relationships etc , but there is no ex or anything in London.
    ______________________
I dont know.I feel like Im starting to consider things , but that theyre getting more complicated.
Id also love to have my dreams tell me how I could explore a move back to London.
Its like all I have is a business plan , a blank page and a weird recurring dream.!:) lol

Anyway many thanks for your reply once more.
Does my response give the dream any more sense to u?
    Best wishes

Well, you say that you want to leave, so your dreams are probably asking you why you haven't left already.

Now the important part - what have your other dreams foretold?

In my case I knew that I was going to move inspite of the fact that my dreams told me that I would be going through many challenges and changes.

Start writing down all your dreams, they should help you to decode where you should go.

Hmmm , well its always possible I dont go to London.
Im not ready to go anyway just yet , but in a few months time , I'll have finished a few things off , and would be ready.

I cant really see how my other dreams integrate with it.
I had a recurring one of being back in school years and years after my old school exams.I cant find my friends to borrow notes from.I dont even know the timetable or whether Ive missed the exams. My notes are a complete mess , even tho in the previous exams and months prior I was all set to pass with flying colours.

I concluded that dream meant I was living in the past , attaching importance to things that were utterly irrelevant to my future life ie closed off part of my work and focused on other things.Since I discovered that , I havent had the dream.

I do sometimes have another dream .I come back to live in a university house *after * Ive finished uni.I dont like the house and feel all confused about what Im doing there.
Havent really worked that out , other than to say "the past is past".

I will try and keep a dream diary , but I tend to be poor at recalling them.

I still think my subconscious has some more to tell me on the London thing- probably about the best way to settle in , but Im more confused than when I look at the map in the dream!:)

Many thanks for your post again! :)

there are no 'centers where everything happens', and it may very well be, PRECISELY that, that these repeating dreams are so despirately trying to tell you.

absolute expectations are arbitrary expectations are unrealistic expectations.

you MAY, as you expect, at some point find yourself living in london.
you MAY or MAY NOT find doing so gratifying what you expect of doing so.

none of us, can absolutely count upon, ANYthing.
reality's nature is diversity. it neither requires 'centers' nor in any way depends upon them.

on the other hand of course, there is nothing wrong, with the gratification of exploring.
part of the reason dreams twist things like geography (or take us to some sort of parallel universe where it is subtly or not so subtly altered) is to further and grant that gratification. one that is often, to a nearly similar degree, frustrated in tangable life.

i would say ENJOY your dream london. explore it and glory in exploring it. don't expect it to too closely resemble the tangable one in this universe on this earth.

a little secret: the two are just as 'real' as each other, just not in the same universe, or state of being, or whatever it actualy is.

    =^^=

Hi themnax , many thanks for your post!:)

Im sure a certain place doesnt have to be everything for a particular thing , but I dont thing the dream is telling me *not* to consider London- either as a frequent stopover , or
    permanent home.

Im sure/ I *think* the dream is trying to tell me to look at something , even to prepare for something.
Its not massively into my conscious yet , but its like I feel its moving to the forefront.

Very interesting about the realness of my dream London.Reminds me abit of the book Im *trying* to write!:)

Anyway , Im sure /I think the symbolism of its surreality is trying to say specific things to me , but I cant work them out for the life of me.

I dont see the dream as a frustrated "release" - I can move if I want , when its appropriate.
More like ,its trying to open my waking mind.

Does anyone try and develop a recurring dream to get an answer or just try and work things out consciously?

Many thanks for your post once more!:)

well, imho you are concidering options; looking at london from where you are, far away, and not really knowing whats going to be there. You walk down the street, but never really get anywhere... and you never really get more information. After the decision you will likely stop having this dream. But you must know for sure and be self confident in the choice.

    Hi Killswitch and lottoPINK

Killswitch , yeah its like the recurring school exams dream which tended to happen much less after I worked it out and acted on it.
The thing thats bugging me isnt it saying "make a decision and NOW" , its like its trying to tell me how to prepare , how to make a decision - but I just cant work out how.

Ive just remembered that Big Ben in the South East centre is actually where the Shakespeare's Globe Tudor theatre is.Maybe thats saying "your centre will be a creative one"- as Im moving into writing as well as my main work ( business).

    Lotto - who u sayin?I dont dream?LOL
I have lots of dreams - and a LOT of em most people would rather not have.

Anyway I think we ALL dream but most of us are shite at remembering them.

Christ this dream's a bastard .Im still at a loss!lol
