Can somebody just tell me how to embed video?

I keep having to quote other video posts and edit them and I still screw up half the time.

Post the link without http:// and also if you were surfing on youtube and happen to link a youtube video while being in a playlist (the link would include something like Watching and some different url overall, just look at it ) it also doesn't embedd. If you find the right song to share in a youtube playlist you have to look look for the proper link to that song to get it to embedd on here

I usually click "share" under the video, then copy/paste the "youtu.be" link. If the video is part of a playlist, then I uncheck the box that says "share with playlist" to get the "youtu.be" link.

I think something on the site that handles the links may be broken and it sometimes doesnt do it, I've had that issue before but not lately.
