Lately i have been listening to ambient/idm/downtempo kinda type stuff....

stuff like that...can anyone tell me some other artists i may enjoy? i really like Deru a lot right now in particular, i think he captures the fall/winter spirit perfectly in his sound...

i like Kick Bong, Bluetech, Entheogenic, Artificial Life Preserver, Boards of Canada, Distant System, Androcell, Ott, Younger Brother, Hibernation,...too many to name right now really.

but you are on the right track, i love Killowatts!

 

KiloWatts is one of my favorites....amazing stuff... Problem/Solving and Routes are fantastic albums..

yep, i think thats his newest one if im not mistaken...its a pretty good album, but Problem/Solving is my favorite by far..

ahhh here's your thread. how could i not find this before...

anyways, im not to into the ambient, downtempo stlyes of the bands you listen to.
i like more upbeat stuff.

 

go to addictech.com and click the "full album bundles" tab in the middle (or just type in idm in the search if you want the single tracks as well)....then click on "IDM" under the keywords (on any song that says it, as it will just do a search and grab idm albums...)

its a good way to find new music atleast, then go to that other site i was talking about (torrentech.org) and you can dl the torrent for free

i would reccommend three bands/albums for you.....1.) kilowatts: "problem solving" is one album that i think is just a masterpiece...one of my favorites of all time...it has all kinds of stuff ranging from glichty/idm/original breakbeat to ambient/idm/downtempo, etc....he really incorporates a lot into that album, tracks like b sprouts first flight, and two days off are classics to me...

2.) Heyoka : "whomp gland" (myspace.com/andreism)...crazy psychadelic/dubstep/idm/wobbly...very fun, and his myspace has some of his new tracks that are coming out soon which are insane...

3.) Skeetaz: "Off" - a true facemelter, the most intense of the three albums i reccommend to you..the tracks: duck sauce (epic), toad ya, ineffable bride, and a few others on that album are worth the price alone...so check that one too...

all three are available on addictech i believe...and im sure torrentech as well

holy shit you like deru, sense, and mr. projectile?

check out the merck label... it's now defunct, but tons of good bands came from it. i'm talking ESEM, lackluster, ilkae, blamstrain, secede, kettel, tim koch, arctic hospital... etc etc. oh, sense was originally on this but got dropped

 

oh and the landau orchestra. they rock. deru is a part of this if i'm not mistaken
