calling all uranians

r u uranian? u know it if u r. u r the one who is 'different', the eccentric, the misanthrope, the radical one. maybe u were considered a nerd at school, or a bit of a weirdo: u looked differently, thought differently and definitely behaved differently from the herd. often u r gay or transgendered, or bi maybe (oscar wilde was uranian). but u don't have to be. any kind of strong individualistic trait that sets u apart from consensus reality and consensus normality will make u a practising uranian. what r the astrological signs? sometimes having an aquarian ascendant, or uranus in the first, or the sun or moon in the eleventh house can signify it (but this depends on the hard aspects to saturn and the power of the personal planets in ur chart, which can blunt it). also having venus in aquarius (for women) or mars in aquarius (for guys). having aquarius in the eighth house will make u a uranian in bed.

but mostly, if u r uranian you will know it.

 

this time is a good time to be a uranian because we are now in the turning of the ages: changing from the piscean age to the aquarian age, and uranus is the ruling planet of aquarius. at the moment neptune (ruler of pisces) is stationed in aquarius and uranus is in pisces: this is the handover period when karmic events become accelerated and everyone seems to be reliving their past life themes over again. (do u have the feeling everything is happening too fast and it's kinda repeating itself?). soon being a uranian will be hip and everyone will want to be one too. (the uranian is the nudist at the christian summer camp)

 

and I check in..... that does indeed fit, I am atypical..... I am odd, I embrace the violence of humanity while wanting the path of peace for myself (I'm totally willing to personally fight for it, but I won't join a cause to fight for peace) I have always been the odd man out and apparently that fits with this....

 

at last another bloody uranian! i was beginning to think there weren't any here. having uranian blood means u r automatically interested in astrology, did u know (the god Ouranus was the sky god responsible for the stars and planets)? in fact u may have been an astrologer in a past life...

 

here is what daniel giamario ("shamanic astrology handbook", a great read) says about uranians and aquarians in general. they are:

"the Avant-Garde Revolutionary, the Female Avatar, the Grand Experimenter, the Cosmic Visionary, the Lover of the Devic Kingdoms, the Goddess of Democracy, the Idealistic Scientist, the Universal Free Spirit."

i don't know if i'm uranian, but i'm definitely different from those around me. i don't follow the 'usual' paths of society. i home/unschool my kids, i create art or barter/trade for things we need, don't have a 'real' job - not planning on gettng one either, i don't want to be a slave to some corporation/business for any amount of hours during the day. part of the reason i homeschool my kids is that i don't want them to be schooled to become slaves to time-limits and bells and authorities that tell them what to think and when to think it; authorities they aren't allowed to question, therefore preparing them to act the same when they grow up and get 'real' jobs (if they so choose to).

my dream is to own land out in the boonies and live off the grid, to be totally self-reliant. i don't like having to depend on stores for my food and clothing and every day basic needs.

lol. so... does that make me uranian? i've never heard the term before.

maybe. usually if u r a uranian u know it not so much by what u think about the rest of society but rather by how society treats u: as an outsider or misanthrope. this is just the vibrationary nature of uranianism i guess. whether or not, it still sounds like u have got a good plan your kids: this is rather like the venus in aries thing i was telling u about before: "women who run with the wolves" and won't be tempered or controlled by anyone else, particuklarly not patriarchy. i also note that u r making up 4 having no earth in your chart by your plan to live off the land. good idea. i wish i could do that but i kill everything i try to grow!

the credo of the uranian society is: libertarian! socialist! uranian!

 

as you said my sister is one..but she is very outgoing...although she can get really hyper and thats when she acts weird. hmmm....but i dunno if she is a radical either. i don't think she is the typical uranian by how you describe it.

 

maybe she's not. could have other supervening factors in her horoscope. or maybe it might become more obvious when she gets older

u, my dear, r definitely uranian. let me ask u, do u have any earth in ur chart? having no earth is the sign of a recently landed (or recently returned) uranian. btw, the uranian society believes that the universe and ur mind are one in the same thing and what happens in ur mind is an earthly, physical correspondence of a connected celestial event. but the difference is uranians think that this is not a cause and effect relationship. one thing happening in ur mind, for instance, does not cause, nor is it at the effect of, the other corresponding event occuring in the heavens. the two things happen co-creatively, with each a reflection or correspondence of the other. that's why the astrology chart is important as it is a statement of intent or a snapshot of ur mind (and ur life cycles) at birth. where the planets, points and angles reside in the chart signifies the areas of the mind (conscious and unconscious), heart, body and soul u have chosen to activate in ur new life. the planets, points and angles signify the recurring themes and cycles u will experience 4 the rest of ur life until u liberate urself from their power. how unconscious these themes and their recurring cycles remain 4 u depends on how much u learn and how willing and able u r to participate in the experiences.

that's actually a fair bit of earth. saturn in cappy is dignified, so strong there. also, ur dreams (as signified by neptune) may be rather grounded, unlike mine :&

Thats pretty true...my main dreams are to do with career and travel.

What you said about it soon bein cool to be uranian, i hope that time comes in my lifetime! Im sick of being told im insane, alien and over-idealistic. Someone once said i was "born too soon", but then they couldnt explain what they meant. It annoys me, as my ideas are always given with good intentions.

I have all these visions about what i see is wrong with the world, and also have this strong urge to act and change things(could be my ascendant aries/mars in sag?) But when i try i get laughed at.

Your posts have really given me somethin to think about though. You know your stuff. I especially liked the idea that we have some sort of mission, even if some of us have forgotten it.

yes, i like this idea 2. if u have got any planets at, say, 9 degrees gemini or 9 sagittarius then this applies 2 u 4 sure. that's the axis of the east-west fixed stars aldebaran and antares. why not give me your date, time and place of birth and i can look at ur scope of horror?

 

Sure i was born 17th february 1988 at 9.15am in Rhyl, Wales.

Ive never had a chart done by someone who knows what theyre on about before.. i just been workin from my own scribblings So you may well find i was wrong about a few things! Thanks again-
