They had a number one hit in the US.

Better bands have done the "classic rock" sound. Like the "the bands".
Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCQ7VLoY7bQ&feature=fvw"]the Hives (newer stuff is more modern =[ ), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B2OAfc52jY"]the Vines, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbRe5mxR0q0"]the Strokes, and most importantly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1aZUzaAdJY"]the Hellacopters

The Strokes have a song that was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1vvUec71v8"]way more classic sounding, but I wanted to show you something more representative of their actual work.

Also, Stone Temple Pilots are back with a more classic sound.

I thought cage the elephant was alright until I listened to them on 2ci . There is nothing edgy about their music at all.

    I hate Cage The Elephant.

I do however love The Hives, they are pretty groovy.

I prefer them to The Hives. I used to like The Strokes, but got bored of them.

But The Hives are Swedish!

That shouldn't make a difference but it really does!

Oh Ok, I'll like them then.

One of my favourite bands at the moment are Dutch. They recently replaced the singer and now they rock arse!
