Wondering if anyone has used the Cactus Juice mosquito repellent. Some say it works great while others say it doesn't.

The DEET stuff really does melt certain types of plastics (watch faces, LCD screens, etc)

Never used cactus juice. That sounds like a pain in the fingers to make.

It would be far easyer to use the oil of the catnip plant. It will repel bugs and you would be a fascinating curiosity to the local cats.:D

Also the smoke from leaves of the Cycad plant plant works.

If you are concerned about deet irritating your skin, first put on some sunscreen and then put on the deet. It will not absorb into your skin.

I seem to be a little familiar with plant uses and dealing with bugs when you live in a third world hell hole in Central America.;)
