The trio confirmed the news at an emotion-charged press conference in central London - with Matt Jay leaving in tears and having to console distraught fans outside afterwards. Charlie admitted it was his decision and was quick to quash rumours he did not get on with Matt and third bandmate James Bourne. ""I'd like to say that I've been slightly concerned about the things I've read in the press recently saying that the band hasn't got on and I'm embarrassed about being in the band," said ex-public schoolboy Charlie. "I'd like to quash those rumours. I've had the most amazing three years." And he isn't hanging around - Charlie sped off in his BMW 4x4 and kicks off his first tour with new band Fightstar just hours later in Warwickshire. they are ( or were) this shitty pop boy band trying to be a rock band!!!! They were so bad they made ur ears bleed! be glad that you havent heard them!! believe me!! Their only redeeming quality was that they acknowledged they were not rock. They were the teletubbies with guitars. They were an English band pretending to be American. They were to music what Hitler was to world peace. I constantly astounded when rubbish like Busted is sucessful and I feel less at home in my own country because the English are known for their intelligence and have produced the greatest pop group ever. They were of course aimed at people either too young or too stupid to know just how plastic and hollow they were.
i just cant see what people like about them, first, they dont (didnt) even played their instruments on their records (sessions musicians did, i know this from a good source) and doubt they could even do it live on stage, due to the high number of jumps performed by them (how rock n roll!) i dont see talent, i dont see anything special. They have done the world a favour by dissapearing forever. now, McFly is next...then girls aloud...then...oh well most top 10 shit nowaday... Edit: Peep Show is great!! I love it!
They really sucked. I don't understand why in that video, What I go to School For, they liked that fatass teacher when tons of hot chicks were in it.
i actually have some respect for Charlie, as he IS a real musician and he has now left to play real music. I read an interview in KERRANG! with him and he said "ok i was 16 and it was better than school..." Now he's formed this emo-hardcore band (ok it's emo, but you can't have everything) and he's doing this instead. Now Charlie being in the position he's in, could snap his fingers and go "Sign us!! i'm from Busted!", but he isn't, they're doing it all properly and sending demos off and playing crappy venues until they got noticed. thats worthy of respect, even if I don't like the music I never was a busted fan, by the way
Sixteen is old enough to know better to be frank and Busted are one of those rare things, they are inferior to school. Plus Kerrang should be placed next to the Beano on the mag shelf.
My friend Randi was obsessed and told me more than I ever wanted to know about Busted. She was almost crying the day after the breakup at school (and no, she's not one of those people who cries about everything) when she told me... I don't even LIKE Busted, and if I hear another person say, "hahahaha Busted is Busted! hahahaha"......

Fightstar , the band that charlie left Busted for .. are going to be even more tragic than Busted.. i have not heard them yet, but wait for cringeworthy attempts at Radiohead deepness or some shit like that.. He could have waited and practiced and got his sound together and not joined Busted at all ?... It is a huge insult to the other two , for him to just dump them because he wants too be a 'REAL MUSICIAN' fuck off charlie you snobby pompous ass. Matt out of the lot i hope does well, i heard him on radio one a few weeks ago..and he is ok.. James ? well he can go clean the support beams on some oil rig for all i care . I would like too know the label fightstar are under or going to be under.. i put money on it being the same record company as 'Busted' .. 'At least he is trying to get credibility' .. Come on !, he manipulated his lucky break .. He had no intentions of staying with Busted for more than was required.. if they had been a bit bigger in america, he would have stuck it out just a bit longer to get his foot in that door?. None of what Charlie did is original, i realise that ... lots of members of 'boybands' just use the lure of a easyily pleased young fanbase to ultimatly push their own 'solo' career.. Beyonce did it .. so did Justin .. This what pisses me off about Charlie , he has no intergrity at all realy , i don't think.
