I must agree most of the time they don't because governments weren't as productive as they could have been.

Take Vietnam for example, what the hell did that do??? The end is what would have happened regardless of what the U.S. did, but because the U.S. wanted Vietnam to be democratic and their bitch so damn bad, millions more had to die.

Then you look at World War II and what Stalin did with his Soviet army, he was a moron and 25+ Million people died when the war could have been won with half those losses.
