of course he is getting higher numbers in the polls it is almost time for mid-term elections so the fear machine is humming again. And there is only one party to go to when you are scared... The Grand Old Party. And as the congress and state officials gear up for election time, Bushie's boat will rise with the tide that lifts up the others.

The only thing that has ever frustrated me about being a democrat is we never go for the kill when we have our political opponents up against the wall. Don't believe me? Just imagine what would have happened to Prez Clinton during the last 6 years...

Actually what I meant USA is imagine a democrat trying to get away with creating bigger gov't, secret gov'ts, wire tapping, outing secret agents, shooting friends in the face, reading children books after our country is attacked, rigging voting machines, pre-emptive wars, not catching the real mastermind behind 9/11, secret energy councils, no-bid contracts, editing reports for the CIA and UN, and nose diving our economy.

Yes, Clinton asked for his trouble, but bush is begging for it and he can't seem to get it.

I just finished watching CSpan this morning and they were asking their callers about his wish to change the Geneva Conventions, even those that were calling on the Support the President line, were against his methods.

How can we be for promoting democracy and freedom in the world when we want to be allowed to torture prisoners to gain information. How does that make us any better than the enemy we are supposedly fighting?

Next he'll pull out the religious card, and his polls will rise to 65% or better. Everyone knows the conservative christians get to vote twice.

The Today Show is currently showing a special report with him right now, complete with sublimal pictures of "terrorists", and his repetitious use of the term "moderation", he used that a lot with his speech on the 11th. Marketing must have told him that would sell.

And he's threatening that those he has captive can't be held accountable without the US modifying the Geneva Conventions. If we had operated within the scope of the Conventions from the beginning, we wouldn't have to modify them now.

He's also pushing McCain in to the same sort of position he put Powell when he wanted to go to war in Iraq. It will be interesting to see if McCain wants the presidency so bad, he stoops to support him and his stand on the Geneva Conventions to gain it.

Republican's will win on fear tactics. Human dignity means nothing to him. It means a lot to me as a human being and a US citizen.

Who are his "professionals" that want clarity...Blackwater mercenaries? Maybe our president and his mercenaries need "human dignity" spelled out to them, so their attornies can sidestep their infractions. The US needs to limit liability and legal rights of common citizens but not those used by the corporate military complex.

You want his "program" to go forward....I don't, it's time it was stopped~!

He continues to be afraid to debate with Iran's leader, why?

Who are the extremists, republicans that want to rewrite the Geneva Conventions, or poor people in the middle east that are striving to exist?

And he continues to try and pull the women's vote in with his accusations of rape and the subordination of women by Islam ideology...it's all marketing folks.

And finally throw in taxes...Yeah the republicans have really lowered mine. Have they lowered yours?

Got to love how he laughed about illegal easedropping. This is a person I really trust and respect....

Not one of his finer press conferences. What was that "tell" he did with his hands and his mouth when ask about Bin Ladin?

If the democrats and opponents don't jump on this conference they are definitely in conlusion with those in power, and not the interests of the little man and their interests. He brought in the religious card at the last moment. Pretty lame if you ask me.

There didn't even used to be a 'Republicans' line. There used to be only one number for CSPAN. Now they are funneling people into narrower and narrower groups for support of Bush.

The acceptance cone will get even narrower.

What next? A CSPAN phone line that reads, 'People who proudly kiss Bush's ass'?

Actually in the early beginning of C-Span the numbers were allocated as to national locations. But early on the republicans after Limbaugh came into popularity bombarded their phone lines and only one viewpoint was being heard. They have tried to make access available to all. I do hate the allocation of "those who support the President", but I think if I remember right they even used that when Clinton was in office. They are still one of the fairest broadcasters on the airwaves.
