not surprised. i don't watch tv because i don't have one. on the other paw, i do exercise my mind, making things on the computer, and probably ought more often, to go for a walk.
Sleeping is good. I got 7 hours or so last night. I walk as well. Each day I go to the gym and hit the Cybex arc trainer twice; once in the morning early & again afternoon time.
That seems obvious because our bodies repair themselves when we sleep. What I heard is that you burn more calories staring at a blank wall than watching television.
i love sleeping, because unlike television, i get to participate in my dreams. they also take place in way nicer places. believable but far more interesting places, mostly because there aren't the same kind of restrictions on what can be built there, as there are, either on television or in the dominant culture. nature is of course maze-like and convoluted, and in my dreams, people prefer to build things the same way. and while some of the mazes may go on forever, the way nature does, there is no aesthetic positive about anything being bigger then it needs to be. making everything as small as it can be and still be useful to what its for seems to make everyone happier then making things big. also you know, sleeping is one of the few pleasures that cost very little, and is even justified by being basic, fundamental, even necessary, to life.
