bungee jumping thread

Remember when there used to be bungee jumping cranes all over the place?

At fairs, at the beach, at big public events. 20 bucks a jump. What happened to those?

no.

but i do remember it being a more common hobby than it seems to be now. i rarely hear about it anymore.

 

I wanna do it but I'm afraid of dying of a heart attack so I wanna save it for when I'm suicidal.

 

I still see them occasionally, but I see them less though because I dont go to the same kind of events etc. I never went on one. I never wanted to.

 

i really want to try skydiving. also, you can do that tandem...

i hope to go skydiving someday. more still, i hope to be in such a situation with a responsible pilot, a friend of mine, and a skydiving partner to pull the cord at the right time, also a trusted friend, who will allow me to jump one time while tripping.

I tried to go once, they told me the rope wouldn't hold me...

I never really paid attention before so I haven't noticed anything...

And no, bungee jumping is something I wouldn't do...

 

I've bungee jumped before. It's a decent adrenaline rush, but nothing super special

 

seems safer than sky diving.

I'd do it.

 

I never did either, but I'd rather skydive than bungee jump.

I want to go hang gliding...now that's Mountain Dew Xtreme!!!!

I actually do want to go hang gliding, and will actually do it one day...

 

I've done bungee jumping five times, highest one was from 200m and that was my 18th birthday present from an ex boyfriend. The rest have been for charity fundraising.
