In the novelization they leave out the part where the guy she steals his motorcycle from asks if she'd like some real power between her legs. That was the only difference I noticed.
Thats fucking weird. I had no clue there was a novelization. I like the movie, but I dont think it compares to the series at all.
I didn't either, 'til I saw it. Couldn't pass it up. I always really liked the movie. Probably better than the series, though I like it as well.
I'm the opposite. I didn't like the movie as much as I liked the series. I mean, when I watched it I thought it was an okay film. I just liked the series more. The series had better fight scenes too, maybe in part because Sarah Michelle Gellar was an actual TKD brown belt (if I'm not mistaken). Plus Faith was just the hottest Slayer of them all. And they came out with a musical episode long before GLEE existed.
She is a brown belt... The show also has DEPTH, something very not present in the film. The series is a whole universe created in itself. I seriously think it will go down in history as one of the best television shows. Man, the way the show is written is so exceptional. Is anyone else pissed off about the movie remake thing?
There's a movie remake!? what is the world coming to? Seriously I agree with you. The show has depth all right. And, it was one of the first to show the heroine as someone who could really kick ass without having to rely on someone to rescue her - unlike Nancy Drew for instance, whose dad or her boyfriend always comes to her rescue whenever she's in deep shit.
