Anyone here a fan? As long as I've been here, there hasn't been any posts or discussions about him, which really surprises me, because he's such an influential and important figure in rock and roll. I mean, if it weren't for him, who would Paul Mccartney have stolen melodies from?:p Seriously, he's awesome. and if you haven't heard of him, download some of his songs.

I love Buddy Holly. One of my favourite biographies was written about him. It was a lovely book, and I loved what it said at the end. Say the name Buddy Holly to anyone and you always get the same reaction - they smile. He made really positive music.

who knows what the state of rock n roll would have been if buddy holly didnt die, and elvis didnt go to the army, and chuck berry didnt go to prison, and jerry lee lewis didnt marry his cousin and get blacklisted. would the beatles have made such an impact on american music?? who knows??
