Bubba Ho-tep tells the “true” story of what really did become of Elvis Presley. We find Elvis(Bruce Campbell) as an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home, who switched identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his “death”, then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis teams up with Jack(Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home resident who thinks that he is actually President John F. Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility as his happy hunting grounds

this has got to be the best horror moive ever next to evil dead of course bruse campbell is an awesome actor

I bought Bubba Ho-Tep site-unseen once I found out it was available on DVD.

I have to say, that as much as I am a huge fan of Don Coscarelli's "Phantasm" movies, I wasn't all that thrilled with Bubba Ho-Tep. I dunno... It didn't have the action OR the spookiness of Phantasm. I guess I'm just used to Angus Scrimm doing his thing... :p

Don Coscerelli did an excellent job with the adapting of Joe Lansdales story...always a treat to see Joe's work on the screen.
