So I pierced my ears a few days ago, third hole up. I used sterilized piercing needles, etc. etc. Everything's good, don't lambast me for doing my own piercings.

But now I've got these purple bruises around my piercings. It didn't happen when I did any of my other piercings, and I really don't want to get any calcified junk in there.

    Opinions?

The only thing I'm worried about is the blood not dispersing and calcifying.

I really don't want any crunchy bits in my earlobes.

I'm doing salt soaks and everything. Once they heal up a little more maybe I'll bust out the tea tree oil.

all i can suggest is keep doing salt soaks and make them hot. i think it will be fine but my ears havnt bruised before, even when i pierce them myself.

Ouch... I've had bruised ears (and a lot of ear piercings, heh) before...

If the bruising just showed up the day after you pierced them (or later), it's probably just from them being hit/laid on while you sleep. I can't see blood drying in there being too much to worry about, but then, I've never had it happen myself... and I've even bruised the stretched part of my lobes from laying on them funky at night. Try just rubbing them gently between your fingers to keep everything circulating okay and they should be fine.
