    Has anyone read this guy?

He's pretty interesting. So called, 'hard' sci-fi with a real bent towards taking what is happening in present day life and exagerrating the patterns. Plus he mentions a lot of drugs and biotechnology and different factions.
Schismatrix was good. 'Bad Weather'? 'Bad Storm' wasn't so good.

It's kinda telling that he's recently been hired by big busness to give speeches about design. also that he was one of the main literary 'cyberpunks' back in the day.

Sterling is a great idea man/futurist and an ok storyteller. I'm a fan of his. You can pick up some of his lectures on youtube and such if you snoop around. He also has a blog over at Wired.

I believe Difference Engine was a collaboration with Gibson
