I get a way way better body high from brownies. Smoke a bowl to get the day started, then eat some brownies shortly after is awesome when you camping at a music concert for a few days as ill eat them all day and walk with so much chill in my step.

With brownies the high comes on gradually so it's mellower, plus it lasts longer.

With smoking the high is instant, don't have to wait impatiently for it.

Do both. Smoke a bowl or two, then eat a brownie to keep you high longer. Makes for a great day!

I don't mind the wait it's nice and mellow and worth it. it seems the last few times I smoked I got real dizzy and panicked. and started shaking

Myself I just grind the pot into powder and throw it into a brownie mix. Keep it simple.

I prefer to smoke. Pipe for me is the most immediate and effective way to get high.

Eating doesn't do a whole lot for me... bit of a body high, which is nice enough I guess, but I definitely prefer the more heady effects from smoking.

jen, you can definitely get an intense high from eating cannabis. it's actually pretty common for people to get TOO high from pot brownies.

    i prefer smoking i suppose.

I've had many edible experiences that have been WAY stronger than smoking, it all depends on the dose. In fact, some people hate edibles because the high is too intense. I have to say effect wise I prefer edibles, it's like a psychedelic: dose, chill out, and distract yourself for awhile, and then gradually wait as the effects kick in.

There is a certain element that is missing from not smoking though, and I can see why smoking will be preferred

For some folks it can be hard to get enough without getting too much. By too much I just mean dizzy--> sleep and missing out. More often than not, too little. I've had very limited practice with edibles, but back in the early '80s me and my wife and some other family went to see John Phillips (Mamas Papas) at an outdoor show in Texas. I'd made a cheesecake, and feeling goofy, I took the last of my burnable stuff and sprinkled it on top of the cheesecake. Just purely as a joke, like "this isn't enough to bother rolling into a half doob" It wasn't much, and we ate it knowing it wasn't going to do anything. But no one had anything cuz that really was my last and it was no big deal, good show, but man that cheesecake lit us up. I think normally it would take many times that amount to effect just one person. So getting the fun amount may take some care and attention. Install a live-in cannabis cook in your home full time for best results.
