Bromo-Dragonfly (trip report)

This report is for my second, more intense experience.
It took place at a music festival this summer with my girlfriend, what better place to trip?

We arrived at the campsite and set up our tent, rolled a joint and ate two tabs each. We knew we were in for a long wait followed by a long trip so we thought it was best to eat the tabs as early as we could.

The first effects began to show themselves around an hour and a half after we ate the tabs, but this was nothing more than a feeling of my mind being slightly distanced from my body, a slight energy boost and a feeling of restlessness that I always get on the come up from psychedelics.

At around two hours after ingestion the first faint signs of visuals began to show themselves, this was much faster than my one tab experience. Colours seemed slightly brighter and things would look like they were vibrating slightly. During my one tab trip it took three to four hours to reach this stage, so I think the effects manifest themselves more quickly at higher doses.

By around three hours colours had brightened fully and everything left trails behind it. There was also a lot of auditory hallucination at this point, the sounds coming from outside the tent (people laughing, cheering, general festival noise etc.) sounded like the sounds you would expect to hear in a medievil town.
We felt we had adujsted to the Dragonfly so it was time for a walk around the campsite.
When I got out of the tent I noticed that the lights were overwhelmingly bright, people were just silhouettes against them. As we carried on walking the lights began to grow, exploding with colour.

When we got back to the tent it had been around five hours since we ate the tabs, this is when I reached peak tripping and for the first time I closed my eyes.
It was like entering another world, crystal clear CEV of beautiful fractal patterns, strange creatures and unimaginable colours. Much more vivid than I have ever got from any other psychedelic. When I opened my eyes the fractals were still there, like another layer over my vision as well as objects morphing and warping.
My girlfriend told me later that the CEV she got were vivid images of beautiful landscapes.

There were about eight hours of peak tripping, but colours and lights seemed much brighter than usual and there would be slight OEV for about twenty-four hours after we ate our tabs.

One of my favourite things about this substance is that you remain relatively clear headed throughout, although a lot of people say that this creates a feeling of 'something's missing'.

I hope you enjoyed this report, this was my favourite psychedelic experience to date.

 

great report. Well wrote reports can get me interested in a compound I normally would never try. The duration isn't for me, however once in a blue moon I might want to consider trying this one.

I'd highly recommend it, the intensity lets up a bit every now and again so you're not actually tripping for twenty-four hours solid.

Definitely one to try, even if you only do it once.

And suprisingly it's only illegal in Norway and Denmark, although it's a controlled substance in Australia and the US.

If you can get your hands on it, DO IT!

There are places that sell it online, beware of scams though!

 

it's a bit frustrating to order it pure, i mean 0.5g is QUITE a few hits but is usually the minimum order size for internet sources . Also, racemic form is weaker so you need to be careful with your first dosing incase its the isolated optical isomer

There have been places that sell it in a solution, that way you only pay for as much as you need, and its already accurately weighed out

 

I wish most places were professional enough to list which isomer or what the ratio of isomers exists in the racemix form. <sigh>

Definitely take lostminty advice as be very careful with your first dosing. It's active at very low doses and lasts a LONG time.

This trip was on 600mcg. I did a 750mcg trip this weekend. My god!

PsychedeliaSmith, do you have a link that confirms that BR-DFLY is scheduled here in Aus?
It's just that I wasn't under that impression, and am curious to try it. I think it's pretty rare down here, I certainly haven't met anyone who has a clue what it is.

 

I fell into and through a vortex in time, past present future and came back to my body after 8 hours of astral projecting and out of body soaring through the skies, every now and then who knows minutes seconds or hours reminded of my body, then transitioning back to an alternate reality. I came back to my body after 8 hours of this, that was my first peak, I was completely flabbergasted, felt like I had been up for 3 days straight racing at ten trillion miles a second mentally, I sat speechless on a dirt mound and watched the Dharma body appear out of the ground, growing from nothing into a swirling then 3d structure breaking out of the ground screaming some ancient chant of pure joy and orgasmic ecstatic good news, till it started reaching inches high, then a foot high, then 10 feet high, while equilibrium's of geometric holographic jungles and shapes began to grow, over the course of 2 hours, from 2 inches to ten feet, through the second peak.

Third peak 12-14 hours in the visuals and landscape overlaying this world coexisting in the same eyes, the dharma-body rose and laughed at me, for even challenging its power, and laughed at my amazement of utter speechless but unmistakably truth that my eyes were experiencing, I broke into tears running down while laughing madly and orgasmic like, uncontrollably for minutes which felt like hours, but I knew they weren't it was funny because I could not control it.

36 hours later, about after the 6th peak, I began to watch the visuals go back down, and but the knowing that Dharma is unchallengeable real, matured me spiritually, and has become deeply sacred within me. I know that when I die nothing can stop the gifts that lie before us from ultimately becoming real. If you can believe infinitely beyond your ego and beyond thoughts period and seek truth without fear of anything, they will show your eyes beyond your wildest imagination's comprehension. challenge it and ask to see it, it will come.

I could not believe it was real, even though I was seeing it befor my very eyes, intense confusion and delerium will collapse any ego into itself and leave existence between man and infininity for a period of time to be true, while walking in this body. "the spirit walk" or native spiritual birth, "becoming a man" and realizing you are just that, your ego is not even you..but a mask between you and infinite...

As you slowly overcome emotion and all obstacles between you and infinity of the universe, you are like a puppet to your ego in a sense.

2cb, DOB 6 hits each 250 micrograms liquid, hash brownie, 3 types of exstasy and mescaline capsule all in one night is what took me on this trip, luckily i was in nature camping with friends.

7 year hardcore psychonaut, many out of bodys and near deaths, at least 50 astral projections before this experience. But this one really was the result of my pursuit and experience of meditation and spiritual practices over seven years. Peace be with your hearts always.

 

Ive never heard of such a chemical talked of here sydney. Im sure it is somewhere.. but I dont think many people choose to make it if they have the opportunity to.

LSD and Bromo-Dragonfly are fairly similar effects wise but at the minute I prefer Bromo because of the duration (my last trip lasted 30 hours). It's mind blowing!

A couple of other things that I prefer about Bromo are that it has a slight speedy-ness to it and it's more euphoric than LSD. Also, I find it easier to cope with in public (although it's still quite a challenge).

If you can get hold if it I'd highly recommend it. Start off with a dosage of about 300mcg and work your way up.
I did one 300mcg (not very intense but a nice subtly trippy night) then a few 600mcg trips (more intense, this report was for a 600mcg trip). My last trip was 750mcg and it was pretty intense and very long lasting, I think I'll do another few 750mcg trips before trying anything higher.

I haven't tried any of the DOX compounds, so the best advice I can give you is to read my report again and read some DOB reports on Erowid.

 

Thats my fave part of 2-ci I get a quick wit and sharp tongue on it.
