I wish I was drugged up enough

to know that you loved me

    you you you

    drugged up on you

But then that would just be

It’s pathetic when I look at you

    then look away again

    avoiding avoiding avoiding

    your avoiding eye

Isn’t it equally pathetic when you ignore

    my civil remarks

    because you’re dieting me out

It’s like people who ware poppies

    on tv

    No one really rememberes

    What they were dieing for

    British politics

    It’s bad karma babe

    -It’s bad karma babe

    And I believed myself

This made me sad! Can't quite explain why...it seemed random to me, possibly because it's personal, but that did not deter me from enjoying this at all. Great repetition at the beginning...-your avoiding eye- is my favorite and the ending is loverly!

I agree with KittenX; great language here, though I think the "avoiding avoiding avoiding" didn't work as well as the other repetitions you did. I really liked the opening stanza, it set a good tone; didn't say a whole lot but was specific enough to conjure up strong emotions... a great accomplishment! Thanks for sharing this, and looking forward to more! :)
