British Banter

This I feel can be a place where robust debate can take place.
Freedom of speech is something that we all take for granted, and something that some /many , do not understand.
Here is an opportunity to vent and disagree with the opine of others.

Moreover 'rules', there does need to be guidelines of civility.
It is ok to disagree - for everyone be they be Wise, - or a 'Womble', has a fundamental right to orate, BUT, lets make this constructive and considered.

No one is too young not to be right, no one too old to be educated, or, to pass on their experiences, though it has to be done in a way that has a degree of reasoning behind a comment - i.e "Because....."
- Otherwise, it just shows those who post without thought, to be of a particular level of education that makes any view they may have, invald (even when the statement has merit, but lost in the mist of abuse) = IMO

 

As long as it doesnt develop into personal insults its good to go

I did start this thread as a place where personal interaction could take place for us UK-ers - and where us Brits could exhibit the banter we are renowned for - but then again, we are also known for our lack of enthusiasm = lol
