We have all probably had a bath, put on our dressing gown and bunny slippers and switched on the tv over to BBCone. The news comes on and goes on about 24 hour pub licences. The suspence builds up inside of us and we wait for tomorrows news that there would be mass violence and lots of rowdyness come flooding onto our streets. It happens alot in Lewisham and we don't have many 24 hour pubs I know about. We have the Yatess but that isn't an allnighter. We have the Sahara but unsure if that opens till 6am or till 1am. I know of the nightclub called Bar Phenix but that may only open till 1am. I often wonder if Britain has become to relaxed on drinking laws? I know how easy it is to drink alchopops. Infact I could drink five WKDs quite easily. A lot easier than say beer or straight vodka. I wonder what people think about drinking laws in the uk and for fellow Lewishamians, I wonder what concerns you may have?
I know what to get you guys for Christmas. One of those hangover packs from Argos. A cup saying Worlds biggest hangover and a bag with ice on your heads. Most people get drunk friday and saturday. Sunday, wow, how unconventional, specially as you have work this morning
In Cambridge, local news reports a significant decrease in unruly behaviour and bing drinking associated problems since the introduction of 24 hour licensing laws. Most pubs still don't open after 12, only a few are open till 2, but even so it's had an impact and I'm all for it....
being drunk on sunday is typically just a carry over from saturday. perfectly reasonable. anyway, i don't really see a problem with 24 licenses.
There is no problem with 24 hour licenses. Just as there is non for the rest of the world. It's all cool, it's the people who drink too much that are the problem, and they were doing that before these excellent new licensing laws.
next time yer show yer arse infront of the camera make sure you use a bit of bog roll first man .........put me right off me tea cunthooks
