I saw a special screening of Brick awhile back before it got picked up. After renting "Broken Flowers" (Jim Jarmusch) they had a preview of it, the movie had gotten picked up. It's takes 40's detective movies and brings it to a modern highschool setting, so there dialect is very stylized and has they "noir" like feel (if you have never seen a noir movie, think Sin City). The director was definetly paying homage to that particular genre. Anyways I am going to get coffee, here is the trailer.
