I'd like to go and march but I'm just not well enough at present.

Whether it will have any effect on the outcome of all this I'm hesitant to say. But let's hope that even now, common sense may prevail.

Very unlikely that at this late stage consensus will be reached.

It ought to be clear to leavers by now that far from 'taking back control' the UK is now a laughing stock in Europe and beyond, and May's pathetic performance has ensured that now, the EU hold all the cards. No deal seems more likely than ever.

Rescind Article 50 now - seems to be the only sensible course.

    Bill

Tell me about it – I was at the UK biggest demo the Stop the War march, spoiler alert it didn’t stop the war.

Thing is we were right and the politicians that acted anyway were wrong – I wonder if there have learnt the lesson?

I’m not holding my breath LOL

PS : The revoke petition is now over 3 million

3.5 million signatures tea time friday.

The anti-war protests didn't work but the poll-tax protests did - so maybe there's hope yet. I think it's important though that the protests go ahead just to show the depth and strength of feeling.

As I say my health condition stops me from going or I'd be there. But at least I can get my medications - not so sure I'll be able to if a hard brexit proceeds. There's no government advice on what patients should do under such a scenario - simply suffer or drop dead I suppose. When I asked my pharmacist about possible problems he just shrugged his shoulders and said 'we'll do all we can'.

No advice in place for patients in England if drug supplies dry up

My estimation of the situation is that this country is broken badly and dysfunctional for its citizens when thanks to measures taken by our own government, people's health and well-being are likely to be put at risk. Surely their primary duty is one of care for all citizens. This lot seem to have put that kind of consideration very low on the list.

Some images from today's march of 1 million for a People's Vote. Not a bot in sight - Or is there? Can you spot the bot? Which picture is it hiding in?

I'm doubting they will have a deal agreed upon to extend the deadline.

The best deal is the deal we have as a member of the EU - we should revoke Article 50 and start trying to rebuild our shattered country.

The march (or rather slow shuffle) was great so many witty and creative placards (I wanted to go with ‘It’s more fun to stay in than to pull out’ but my wife and daughter vetoed that as too rude, 'gross' said my daughter) so many wonderful people of every age and class, from both left and the right, we literally had socialist walking alongside ‘Tory’s against Brexit’ . And it wasn’t just the London bubble there were many from all around the country, welsh dragons, Scottish saltires flying alongside the union jacks and the blue and golds of the EU.

All this while the revoke article 50 petition rose ever higher (inching this morning to five and a half million) as the panicking leavers scream lies about it all being bots (a saw a couple of placards at the march asking ‘Are we all bots’).

Thing is we still don’t know what’s going to happen but it does something to restore my faith in the rationality of a majority of the British people

Wish I could have been there. But it was good anyway to see so many turned out, and that it all went off very peacefully. Even watching on TV or looking at pics of the march does I agree do something to restore faith that on the whole, we are not just a nation of xenophobic clots, even if we're governed by them.

What the fuck are you on about?

Every time you post you reveal your ignorance and then run away when challenged - you are a complete joke of a poster.

Most of the folks who remember the empire are either dead or senile.

But I don't think leave supporters would agree with you that the EU and the BE equate to 'the same people'.

In fact that's the last kind of thing they'd want to hear.

    Bill

Having had long conversations with 6 it seems to me that what he know about American history seems to have been picked up from the back of cereal packets so if you are expecting anything coherent from him about Europe you are going to be sorely disappointed.
