Yay or nay? I've never done it before today and I almost fell through the upstairs floorboards onto a porch covered in broken glass below. It looked really small from the outside, but was surprisingly spacious. When we got into the deep insides of it, it was really clean besides the traces of being broken into before. Oh, and no snakes so I didn't die. I was also too mesmerized to take pictures. In either case, my parents house is the only house out of 10 that's actually NOT abandoned on this tiny little block here. I want to check out the others without killing myself or getting arrested. Is it a bad idea to break in during the day? lol Anyone else do this? :cheers2:
day time would be the best bet.. why? because you can see inside the house without using any sort of light.. which would lead to suspicious behavior.. downside of breaking into a house during the day? being seen outside the house
I think you should check em out in the day and if there cool then you can party there at night. Thats what I'd do anyway. I've never done it personally, but it could be cool.
I've only done this a couple times. We brought flashlights batteries and candles so there was constant light. We even had our little battery operated stereo and blankets so we could sit... I was really paranoid that we were gonna get caught at first but after 8 beers I wouldn't even have cared if the cops came lol.
I've done it once. haha, it was fun. one couple was in one room, another couple in the next room
The weird thing about the night around here is the fact that cops are constantly looking for homeless squatters and other potentially exciting activity (cause they have too much time on their hands in this small town) with their flashlights busted out almost every night. I thought we were going to get caught kicking the doors in today because it's a sunday afternoon, and the open porch overlooks the highway. Plus the government came out and put ginormous NO TRESPASSING signs ALL over these buildings... like 10 on each house. I wish I was a minor, lol
You win. At life. At SL. At common sense. If you know the law then it's not hard to keep yourself out of trouble if you're only breaking one law. Once you start breaking multiple laws you just increase the reasons why cops would look at you, detain you or arrest you. No need to be paranoid but you have to be willing to think any time you break the law if you want to avoid paying for it.
I went to a party at an abandoned house last weekend and ended up running through the woods because of cops -____-
It can be fun. My friends and I once broke into an abandoned hospital a couple years back. It was sooo creepy inside (and dangerous) There were still bloody sheets on some of the beds
i love abandoned buildings haha theirs a place by me thats like 3 abandoned factories and they used to have a big mountain of porta pottys stacked up in the field across from them...the whole place smelled like blue
Just cause I'm not used to florida insects and shit (aka snakes) just yet, I'm going to wait til it's colder before I explore any of the other houses/structures on this block here. We almost went for a second one today, but the downstairs doors were boarded up like fuck. When we approached the outside stairs to find a better way in, most of them were cracked if not split going all the way up. The really fucked up part is this house sits pretty much IN my parents backyard and it's super creepy looking. Also, various psychics have said that it's totally inhabited by ghosts. I'll take pics of the outsides tomorrow if I get the chance and don't get banned again. If there's a such thing as a ghost, these houses are probably all inhabited.
haha exactly the same here. we all got shredded up by prickers. however for just lookin areound and scavenging, abandoned houses are great fun. I've found a fencing sword, one of those old ass leather football helmets, sick 60's/70's posters and shit
