I bought this bread maker for an ex 8-9 years ago and its never been used. I'm a bit intimidated by it. Any suggestions for recipes or packaged stuff the will help get this thing in use finally?

it ought to come with at least a basic bread recipe.

A basic bread machine recipe (I think) is:
put ingredients IN THIS ORDER in the machine:

    1 tblsp sugar
    1 cup room-temp water
1 tsp Bread Machine bread yeast
    3 cups flour
    1 tsp salt
Turn your machine to the setting you wish and let it bake.

I sometimes make yogurt cheese by straining yogurt through a paper coffee filter in a pasta strainer, and it leaves behind all this 'yogurt water' in the pan beneath it the next day. I substitute the cup of water with a cup of that and my bread tastes like sour dough bread, just a tip. :)
