i hope im in the right place..
Spent a weekend at a cottage dosin and railing mdma.. nothing out of the ordinary really. ive done waaaay more and gone jogging the next day, you know what i mean?...

Symptom 1 - Brain Zaps( the worst )
I have brain zaps , jolts of electricity hitting my brain.. BUT! i have had them before and they go away.. this is crazy every single thing that stresses me out.( easily done because i also have incredible anxiety,, not usually just this week) gives me a brain zap that last about 1-2 seconds.. sometimes they come in waves of 5 in a row.!!... i get them on average about every 1 -3 minutes.. now they are in my body i am getting body zaps aswell...

    Symptom 2 - Sleep Paralysis(second worst)
When i try to sleep i get sleep paralysis... i get sleep paralysis i have been gettign them since i was 15-16, BUT its now accompanied by zaps.. also they last hours.. im not kidding.. and i actually like sleep paralysis.. because i learned to control them have crazy outer body experiences from floating around to crazy sexual encounters.. but this is all bad.. its nothing but the most evil twisted hallucinations ever.. i am convinced i am sitting upright in my bed looking across my room and seeing things with my eyes wide open i dont even want to write.. ( cause you may think im crazy hahaha.. just joking.. )

    Symptom 3 - Axiety(its fading)
ill keep it short.. anything louder then my own breath startles me.. im breathing heavy and my heart is pounding...

What i am doing now ------

I have really smart friends and i as well have done a lot of research..

    My attempt to cure myself..
i know,, i am missing A LOT of serotonin.. this is obvious..
my girl friend gave me her left over prescription of 75mg SSRIs from when she was at Uni and couldnt handle not getting an A even though never in her life has she ever had one, in a attempt to balance my comedown... our conclusion is that i am basically going through withdrawals just as those who suddenly quit anti depressants cold turkey.. although i have not been able to find anyone describing anything as severe as mine.. im guessing im going throught the same thing..

i took one of these and i feel a bit better.... she also spent the night with me last night.. i had mild sleep paralysis and brain zaps.. which has brought me to my next assumption..

HEAT.... for some reason when i am cold the symptoms are uncontrollable they are at full blast.. every cold drink i have results intense brain zaps..
i have been testing this theory extensively and so far its working...

I am writing this to share my experience.. in case anyone else has been feeling this as well.. those are the things that helped me... if anyone has any advice for me please let me know.. again i am still experiencing symtptoms still about 75% of what they were before i started taking the SSRIs.. ( taking my second one on day 2 riiiiiiggghhhtt...now.. )

now i am going to take a hot bath......

When you get these brain zaps, do you also notice anything odd about your heart?

drinking cold water and then feeling faint or passing out means there is an issue with your vagus nerve (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vagus_nerve)

other than that take a nice long break from mdma (at least 3 months)

brain zaps are a symptom of antidepressant withdrawals. you need to talk to a doctor and get on some antidepressants and then slowly taper off.

seriously, talk to a psychiatrist. they know more about brain zaps and antidepressant withdrawals than you can find on the internet.

i think that you need to start taking antidepressants hardcore and up your dosage in accordance with a doctor until you stop getting brain zaps. then after they finally stop you can start tapering off. very, very slowly.

it will take atleast a month for them to get fully into your system. and probably a matter of months in order for you to gain enough tolerance to up your dosage enough for the brain zaps to actually stop.

whatever you do don't take more than the daily recomended dosage.

oh snap really? youve just reminded me of the very odd sensations i had when i went cold turkey off 50mg paxil. now i realize its exactly what this guy describes, but 'zap' is not how i would have described it, it didn't feel electrical, it felt tense and i got confused and light headed for a few seconds

Yea like i mentioned i am taking anti depressants.. SSRIs.. i really dont want to get on them though.. your saying it will take a month for them to kick in???? honestly if i have these symptoms for a entire month im going to end up in a nut house..

its definitely like electricity.. seriously.. you you the buzz sound you hear in movies when someones getting electrocuted.. that is exactly what it is but its incredibly loud and in your skull.....

what has been working for me is heat.. i am walking around my house in a tuque 2 sweaters and pants and 2 socks.. im sweating like mad.. but im not feeling any symptoms.. but as soon as i take off my hat and feel the cold.. its back.... so im going to sleep tonight in mad layers.. and hopefully everything will be ok..

I don't know if its your serotonin, but just to get your serotonin stores up get yourself a gallon of orange juice, some green beans, and some hot cocoa.

well you pretty much have two options.

you can stop taking antidepressants and hope that the situation resolves itself over time.

or you can talk to a doctor and get on antidepressants. yes it takes a month for them to kick in.

but taking antidepressants without the consent of a psychiatrist is ill-advised.

it sounds like you have a very serious case of "SSRI discontinuation syndrome". or basically the doctor's retarded way of saying withdrawals so that people don't freak out and find out that you can actually get withdrawals from antidepressants.

but since it was caused by molly then it could be something else. but it seems plausible seeing that both mdma and antidepressants deal with abnormal serotonin levels and other chemicals in your brain.

i really don't know man. you should either abstain from all drugs including antidepressants for a while and hope that the situation gets better, or seek professional help.

but if you do seek professional help just don't let them freak you out and diagnose you with a bunch of disorders. because they will and that is a bunch of bullshit. they will diagnose anyone with disorders. the psychiatry medical field is very fucked up at the moment, but considering your situation and it's similarities to ssri discontinuation syndrome it might be helpful. they atleast do have some expertise in treating ssri discontinuation syndrome.

i don't really know though. alot of the time getting involved with psychiatrists and everything associated with them can perpetuate the problem or even make it worse. so just be careful and have common sense. don't let other people tell you what is wrong with you. they are only there as an informant.

i use to get that too, but it was from too much mdma. now on i only roll once a month a most. i dont get any of those shocks anymore. but when i did it would go through my whole body. mixed with emotions. fucked up shit.
