if its hard for you to get water (for whatever reason), then take ice cubes with soda... drink the soda and wait for the ice to melt...

work? not for its intended use. it will condence and contain a given amount of smoke, but it will obviously not be filtrated. the pourpos of a bong is filtration. but anyway, adding this is pointless.
yick stale smoke is nasty! Just do what everyone else says and grab a cup of water and little bit of ice.
just use rice its smooth and doesnt make the bubbling sound, if you spill it you can just scoop it up instead of wiping it up and if you wanna be really adventurous you could even cook the rice after a while of using. not sure if it would do anything but yeah.... use rice!
