Well it's been a few months being a vegan. Years of being a vegetarian.
I just started eating nutritional yeast...wow
has anyone noticed how good this makes you smell?
I just can't get over it.

Humans keep vitamin B12 for months before it's fully metabolized.

(Just learned this, thought it was cool)

How do you add nutritional yeast to most foods?

I'm a garlic junkie. Need something to balance it out.

you just add it in on top

like if you made a stir fry, just pinch 2 heaping tablespoons worth on top of your meal.
    pasta, rice, salad, whatever...........!

    muy delicioso

    no need to cook it

i just looked it up on wikipedia... says it's good as a cheese substitute. i might have to try it out.

i'm assuming you guys buy the powder and not the flakes?

Not the type of title I usually click on, but I think I'm glad I did.

I've looked into nutritional yeast just a bit, and have read that it can be used on popcorn & as a parmesan cheese replacement in pastas... has anyone done this? Is it GOOD or... well, weird?

Just found two brands that are guaranteed safe for me & my lil man, and we have been hunting for a fun popcorn topper. Something we could all use as "pasta sprinklie" as well would be great for my DD too as she is eating less & less meats, and choosing my veggie alternates more often.
    love,
    mom

i thought yeast extract was marmite? how does it come in flaky format? maybe this is why some of my recipes are a bit weird?
