Hello! My name's Mara. I'm 5'2 and 137lbs. My diet's crap and my exercise routine is non-existent. Everything but the name and height must change...though I wouldn't mind a couple more inches in height. My main problems are lack of exercise and nighttime eating. My main problem with exercise is that I'm the type of person that likes to see results instantly...so after 4 days of consistent exercise I get discouraged when I can't see a change. I'm also the queen of procrastination and excuses which obviously doesn't help. By the time night comes I'm usually tired from work, social interaction, family tension, etc., so I pig out like crazy. I also smoke pot at night and have insane munchies. Often times I can't even remember what all I ate the previously night, and I only find out by taking stock of all the missing food, which is usually an amount that never fails to shock and disgust me. Now, I know the most reasonable thing to do would be to quit smoking, right? Well, that's not going to happen, so instead I'm going to try to prep a bunch of fresh fruit and veggies before I smoke and also try consuming beverages like tea and decaf coffee instead of so much food. That's plan A for combatting the munchies...if that fails...well nothing else to do but move on to Plan B. So...on to the goals and the plan. The biggest goal I'd like to achieve is being able to wear a swimsuit in public without feeling super self-concious. I'd love to have the body of a little warrior, a powerhouse. I want to rid my body of fat and develop nice, strong muscles in it's place. I don't want to be a skinny twig...I want to be toned, compact, and solid. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm going for the athletic look. lol And yes...I know what that means....LOTS OF EXERCISE. But that's okay. I don't mind exercise...it's the motivation to start that trips me up. I hate to pick a goal weight...but I would really love to be 115-120lbs. I have to be honest with myself though...that's going to take me much longer than 4 months, especially since I'm aiming for more muscle. So my goal for "Body By June" is to get rid of as much fat as possible, gain as much muscle as possible, and lose atleast 10lbs. I plan to replace the majority of the junk I eat with healthy alternatives like fruits, veggies, and wholegrains. I'm going to launch a massive attack on munchies...and if all that fails I *might* try giving up the green for a couple of months...or atleast cut back. I plan to have atleast 3 cardio work-outs a week, and 2 days of strength training. I know it's not much...but that's my minimum amount to aim for. I'm going to weigh myself every Sunday morning and post the numbers. I'm also going to post a picture of my body in my gallery either once a week(on Sunday also), or once every 2 weeks. MY BODY WILL MORPH! And so...Body By June begins. Feel free to join my 4 months assault on the body!
Alright...so I'm up to 140...I start today. No more eating at work (a bakery...lol), exercise 4 days a week, and no more nighttime eating! I want to be 135 by the end of the month. Oh...and atleast 2 of my coffees are going to have to be black..I've been overindulging in amaretto creamer for the past couple of months. Fuck...I hate being chunky.
I'm on board! If I worked in a bakery I'd be as big as a house!...I feel for you. I want to lose 15 pounds by June. If I can't so that then I would like to go down one dress size. My problem is that I'll be reall good for weeks and then as soon as I'm in a situation where people are drinking I will binge drink and eat foods I shouldn't. Also, refined carbs. I cut all of them out of my diet and just need to stick with it.
hey mara, i'm tracy, 21, 5'3-5'4 about 160 lbs. I'd like to join up =0) My current goal is 5-10 lbs by March 15th, i've already lost about 8 pounds since Dec 19. By april-june I'd like to be down to 135-145. I haven't been lower than 150 in the past 6 years so that'd be great. I won't know how much i actually weigh until this weekend, i think its probably lower than i think... right now i'm vegetarian, I exercise at least 3 times a week usually yoga and pilates. I hear you about weed, its important to cut down on pot if you really want to lose weight... sometimes even eating healthy munchies can catch up to you. I wasn't really able to lose any weight consistantly until i slowed down... its actually really nice to be so clear headed and also to get sooo high when you do smoke.. I have no cardio in my routine, I know I need it but I just can't get myself to do it... I eat pretty healthy most of the time though I'm really good at endulging in junk food sometimes... I just can't guilt myself until after i've eaten it. Now i'm trying to transition to better snack foods and its going pretty well.. honestly airpopped buttered popcorn is sooo much yummier than chips and doesn't have any of the additives in it. I also like crackers, hummus, falafel, cheese, and faux meat, though I only eat it like 1-3 times a month. I have to get over the guilt and to simply eat healthier "junk". Good luck ladies!
i've worked out twice so far this week. I'm going to try to get in one or two more workouts... I've already gotten so much slimmer... I love yoga and pilates and eating pretty well. I am going to try to avoid eating chips and such... though i really want some valentine's day cupcakes.... i love holiday cupcakes.
