Okay so i have never smoked a blunt and wanna try one. i consider myself an ace joint roller, but i am unable to roll even the sloppiest of blunts!!! So ya, I could use some help.. I have watched someone roll a blunt, watched vids on youtube, but still i fail. my problem comes with the rolling part of the process. One of several things always happens: I will either tear that dam fragile paper, the outside flimsy layer peels off and I am left with just the inner softer paper, the paper wont stick if i do get it rolled, or i fuck up the process in some other way. I have tried usin less filling in the blunt, tried rolling with just the inner soft layer of paper, etc. I am currently trying with Phillies (i heard they supposed to be very inpervious to tearing, but I have proven that speculation wrong!) but have tried and failed with swishers before as well. PLEASE! any tips would be appreciated... i dont want to miss out on the joy of a good blunt (or have to have other people roll them for me). Thanks!
Try a blunt wrap man. It will probablly be easier for you with a wrap. You said that once the blunt is rolled it will not stay together, well you just have to used more saliva man. Lick the shit like crazy and get it damp as hell before you dry it with the lighter.
yeah i dont got really any advice, well i do got some, practice with aregno, cuz its same difficulty to roll as weed if not more, but i got lucky, im an ok joint roller, and i just taught myself to roll my blunts, just use a lot of saliva , and if any weed falls out when ur doin it , dont worry, because you can just put it in the top of the blunt whne ur done, and push the bud in through the top to get it together and form the blunt more so it doesnt canoe, so yeahh take my advice if ya want, but i mghta just gotten lucky and i got skill at rollin good blunts lol
some tips: be gentle, a blunt can unravel and become useless if too much pressure and movement is applied when its not necessary you said you were good at rolling joints, so you probably already know the rolling motion, but just remember to slightly compress the weed as your roll to create the perfect cylindrical form. make sure theres not too much or too little weed in the blunt lick the blunt like crazy, even a lot more than with a joint because a blunt has no glue to hold, so more spit must be used. fire it, meaning waft a flame on the blunt without burning it, to make the blunt stronger, smoke better and so your saliva will dry and create an adhesive to form your blunt
yeah it's kinda hard to give tips. i used to be pretty shitty at it just like you but you just gotta practice to get good at it. i use phillies as well. all the advice i can give you, which you may already know is: wherever you're going to cut it, lick up and down the area 2 or 3 times. dont drench it because you can tear it if it gets too wet. once you've gotten the tobacco out, lick the side that you're going to use to hold it together. then put the pot inside and start rolling, once you're ready to close up a part of it lick that side again and roll it over and continue. i dont know if that will help any because its kind of obscure. its hard to explain in a forum haha.
Ok man we roll a ton of blunts around here so just listen up. When the outer leafs start to flake off all you gotta do is lick the underside of them and stick er' right back on. Roll soft yet firmly and go right to left, or left to right down the blunt when your rolling. /\ And dont listen to this.. put too much slobber on the blunt and the motherfucker will split all over the place when your rollin.
Naw man you wanna lick like crazy, after the blunt is rolled so it stays together. That's what people are sayin when they say lick it like crazy (at least that's what I'm sayin).
it took me a long time to learn to roll blunts, and its something you need to practice to maintain or you wont do it right next time....i used to roll awesome blunts, now they're kinda lousy on the rare occasion that i do roll one. its hard to explain through writing the steps of doing it, just as it is difficult to write the steps to tieing a shoe in easy-to-understand terms. all i can say is that its VERY different than rolling a joint, and regardless of how tough a shell may be, if you leave hard pointy stems in there or its too wet or you're too rough, you WILL puntcure or tear the leaves. personally i prefer blunt shells like phillies or white owls to blunt wraps, which are usually softer and wetter and in -my- personal experience are easier to damage. just be gentle, and practice, practice, practice. dont get fed up. a good idea is to use a grinder if you're having problems, and get that herb as consistant and fluffy as possible. think of it more like wrapping the pot up in a blanket than rolling a joint. dont roll and twist it too much to make the pot take a certain form....lay the pot out and wrap the blunt around it in the form its in. sure, you'll have to tighten it a bit, but approaching it like this helped me a lot when learning to roll blunts. if you're having trouble making it stick, i dont know what to say. i've never had that problem. though if you're using a razor instead of pressure from your fingers or your fingernails even to open the blunt, you may have more problems. in my experience, when using a razor or knife to cut a blunt, you get a cleaner cut and a more evenly shaped rolling medium, but the two layers are more prone to coming apart. what i've often done to correct this is to lick the sides all before rolling...wet the stuff with your tongue between the two layers and as you remove it from your mouth, press it together with your lips. it helps form a seal around the edges of the two layers, keeping them together better when rolling. again, its tough to explain through typing. and if any holes get poked when rolling, just take some scrap that may be available and patch it up. while its a very different rolling process with blunts, i can say that they ARE easier to patch. hope this has been of some help!
Yep:spliff: Actually though, it really does make it easier to roll; for me, at least. The way I learned how to roll a blunt is by tearing the cigar in half before splitting it, and roll half a blunt. It's easier to roll a short blunt, instead of a full-sized blunt. After a couple of times rolling the short blunts, then try the full-sized blunts. It worked for me. I wish my cousin posted here. He rolls/smokes at least 50 blunts per week. We call him "Phillip Morris", because he rolls so good.
the best thing to do is use a little honey to seel the blunt and also use the leafy part 2. dont wory it just takes practise
try cigarellos there thinner and i think there alot easier to roll. No extra leaf so it smokes smoother to. Try Swisher Sweet grape cigarellos. I should get paid to say this shit
i just get it wet so it stays together goooood, lick it alot, then dry it with the lighter, then spark it
mini cigarellos are the size of cigarettes maybe the ones i just said are the same length as a cigar just not the same width
So this is a blunt rollin topic and none of you have mentioned wet wraps? Those are my favorite... some say their harder to roll. You dont gotta lick em or nothin like you do rellos and they got a way better/stronger taste. Give em a try.
