any bluegrass fans out there?
whats bluegrass. all i got is dandelions and crab grass.
I play a small festival every year doing folk and bluegrass... re-enactment. I'm into the newgrass stuff... sam bush, nickelcreek, and old stuff... flatt and scruggs.
the new grass is what has brought me into the scene. Just saw Jerry Douglas....blew my mind...... check out the new Alison Krauss it's really good

check out yonder mountain string band yall, there about the hottest thing on the jamband scene right now. sam bush is a favorite of mine. but nothin beats the old bands, bill monroe, jim and jesse, flatts and scruggs, jimmy martin, del mcoury... thats the high lonesome sound.

Yonder mountain string band.......KiLLeR!!!!! They also have a great website. I just found out that Tony Rice and Peter Rowman are touring together.....that would be a cool show!!!! I Have scene Old Crow Med. Show they were really good. Very traditional and lots of fun live. peace all

The aforementioned YMSB, Sam Bush, Vassar Clements, Old and In the Way are really awesome...
My favorite live band is Barefoot Manner...
They are more of a "newgrass" sound than traditional bluegrass, per se, with elements of rock, funk, jazz and that old dixie sound too, but they are my favorite live band... Highly recommended...

There's so many underground bluegrass bands out there... Father, Son, and Friends... it's a celtic/folk/bluegrass band... Changing Tymes... Tommy Lee Pressley...
