Up until yesterday this was the only david lynch movie i hadnt seen. I FINALLY went and got it at tower records & watched it. This had to have been one of the weirdest movies ive seen. It was pretty awesome. Any of you seen it?

Dennis Hopper is absolutely brilliant in that. Does anyone think Wild at Heart was better?

Haven't seen it but love the title. Sounds like a drug-inspired movie if I've ever seen one.

    I've seen Mulholland Drive.

Just a few weeks ago he was speaking at my university (USC) to promote some sort of consciousness-expanding program he's involved with. He was talking about transcendental meditation, and they did a demonstration where someone actually transcendentally meditated on stage while they had him plugged into a brainwave-scanning machine.

What interested me was that he said he does meditation sessions twice a day, and claimed that in 30+ years he's never missed a single one.

Anyway I asked him if he's ever used hallucinogenic drugs for inspiration but he kind of evaded my question. His reply was along the lines of "I have smoked marijuana! (audience applause) Of course I was around in the 60's when they were doing all that, but my friends actually told me NOT to get involved..."

So he said what his friends told him but never said whether he did or didn't. I should have pressed him on it. I mean I know he has I just wanted to hear him admit it.
