Blue jay Winter poetry consumes my life an abandoned land bare trees and lifeless quietude of green amber conifers taking on the bulk of the oncoming snow my heart aches at the sight I have been given of this endlessness Alone in a world of its own the road has disappeared a group of Starlings find refuge on rooftop only for a moments time possibly to clean the wind from there eyes they disperse with the fluidity of the falling flakes like a shrouded dance I have recollections of the full moon drifting in the early hours of night a still cold held it suspended in clarity while the condensation of my breath engulfed it stealing it away Only today is in silhouette like the painted strokes of distance everything seems further light has captured this land in such away as I know blue jay carries the sky old man sets this time in motion with a movement of his hand I allow winter to bury itself into my heart standingdeer
The whole piece was beautiful, but I love this stanza. I love those kind of days, when everything is set at one remove. Thank you.
