My dog has literally just turned blind. He had cadaracs in his eyes. And he cant even get up on the couch sometimes where he sleeps. So lately ive been helping him get up on the couch and helping him down and i also give him a shitload of table food lately instead of his garbage dog food. Like a bunch of frosted flakes, some bread and bits and peices of my dinner. Like taking care of him. I play guitar sometimes until he sleeps, which he likes sometimes and other times he doesnt. I feel so sad about him , he does nothing but walk around the house with occasional walk if the weathers nice. He like even cries these days. Is this considered cruelty because thats what i told my parents?
If he cries there might be something causing him pain. If he can't get on the couch it could be arthritis or something similar which is also causing him pain. You owe it to him to take him to the vet for an exam and prescription for the pain issue. I've seen a lot of blind dogs who live happy lives. They learn their way around the house but you should block stairways and not rearrange furniture. One blind dog I knew would go out to relieve itself and then sniff his scent trail back to the house. Best of luck to you and your best friend.eace:
I would definitely get your dog to the vet to see what is causing him pain and also get some information regarding care for a blind dog. You will want to make sure the house and yard (if you have one) is safe for him. I hope he feels better soon.
Yea please take him to a vet he might be in pain somewhere. Im sorry this has happened to your doggy No its not cruelty just take him before the pain gets worse.
dogs can get operations for cataracts - just like humans they have a treatment for bad hips on dogs these days its a stem cell treatment
