Earlier today...at around 2:45 my head started hurting really badly as well as my throat. (My throat wasn't scratchy...it just hurt when I swallow. My head felt as if it were about to implode). Anyway fast-forward to around 4:30 I'm walking around Sam's Club about to get a sample when all of a sudden I feel extremely dizzy (more than when I stand up to fast). So apparently I fall backwards. I get up with a cloudy feeling in my head and immediatley collapse again (apparently).

I think I'm getting sick, but I'm not sure. I eat pretty well; however my caloric intake rarely exceeds 1200 nor does it drop below 800. I was completely sober at the time, and have been for a week or so. I am a vegetarian (though I don't think that's why-but I could be wrong)

Anyway..I'm scared shitless and am hoping someone can help me out.

    Thanks sooo much.

I've passed out like that several times before and its always related to low blood sugar. How long had it been since you last ate when it happened?

It could also have to do with getting sick, maybe even related to some kind of ear infection and vertigo.

Do you make sure you get enough iron being a vegetarian? I don't know if low iron levels can lead to complete blackouts but I do know it can cause your energy level to drop.

Yea its pretty aweful. My sleep cycle is aweful actually; however, I did get a good nights sleep last night.

I ate at about 11:30 and I eat very small lunches, no breakfast and alot of dinner. I've tried to change it, but its just the way I eat.
I'm hoping its just because of getting sick...I am worried about my iron levels actually....but I eat pretty decent and healthy meals.

Thanks so much guys for the quick answers

As my dearly departed mother-in-law used to sagely say "You can't fuck on carrots and Caraway seeds!"

Excuse me while I smack GeriatricDelinquent and Orison319's heads together...SMACK! All better.

It sounds like low blood sugar, it happens to me sometimes. It could be iron, try a spinach omelette if you do eggs. Works wonders for me.

Why on earth are you asking this on a forum rather than seeking a medical opinion on this.

When you say apparently, it leaves the impression that you do not clearly recall the incident. Red flag.

This should be investigated by a doctor, not internet forums.

hope your doing better. This could also be a sudden drop in air pressure... Stores happen to be a different air pressure than the outside. Maybe even heated, coming from one extreme to another can cause dizziness..
