Irminsul, do you yourself a favour and check out Urfaust! It really depends on the album and song what I prefer. I don't like all Burzums rawer stuff but some of it just really captures that atmosphere! For about awhile now Urfaust and Taake are my favourites in the genre. Overall though I tend to go for the 90's black metal ,of which most bands like Dimmu for instance have gone totally in the wrong direction, but the classics still stand! Stronghold is the last album of Summoning I dig. The ones after Stronghold are getting too bombastic orchestral and overproduced. Hmm, same with Ancient actually, after Mad grandiose bloodfiends they kinda lost it. But I love both for their albums that do hit it on the nail for me!
