Anyone listen to them in the 80s?? I love thier song BLACK COFFEE on thier 1984 record SLIP IT IN (Which is thier BEST album) Heres BLACK COFFEE https://www.youtube.com/v/i4odD2Bg1_0 Amazing....... They made 3 albums in 1984 alone and the 3rd one IS THE BEST!! (Slip it in) Hard, heavy and unforgiving!!
Black Flag kicks ass! I first heard them in the mid 80's in a record store on the Purdue University campus. Fuckin rippin ass Rock! Henry Rollins ruled.
Yes, Black Flag is flipping awesome. My fav album is damaged. But, technically they are hardcore punk, not metal.
Back then, me and my buddies always considered hardcore a step beyond metal, which had makeup, hair and stupid clothes etc. I always cite Cal Ripkin Sr. and Jr. as the reason I keep a #2 razor hairstyle, but truth be told, it's once Henry Rollins did it that I thought it was cool as hell.
HENRY ROLLINS IS THE MAN! He still is, even though he is older, he's still pretty scary. Black Flag was so cool back in the day
I had "Damaged." One of the best hardcore bands. There logo was three black bands. Dave Grohl famously started to tattoo them on his arm, but stopped after the second stripe.
