The concept of bisexuality seems to be overstated in recent times. Males and females are inherently sexual they entire lives. As they age their ability to maintain intimacy in a heterosexual venue becomes more problematic for some individuals. I recently pulled out my college sociology textbook and reviewed the discussions about overpopulation and urbanization. The impact implied the male - female relationships decline as the need to produce children is less necessary. The need for intimacy still exists even though males are living with males and females living with other females. The problem of finding potential mates and partners still exists. Many who post here have no problem finding other males to be intimate with. I work in the Bay Area and work with a larger number of gay and straight colleagues. Most of the gay or bisexual males I know are in relationships with a single partner and do no make overtures to other male colleague. It seems probable for men trying to find another male for intimacy is process of active searching. People who have multitudes of partners are less common due to the risk of std's.
