In summer, I've been barefoot everywhere. I spend most of the summer at the Jersey shore so you can literally do anything without shoes. There are lots of parties in summer and I haven't worn shoes to any of them. I have always gotten comments here and there from girls, especially other barefoot ones. The most common is, "you have nice feet ....for a guy." The "for a guy" part is always thrown in. Being barefoot is always a cool ice breaker, and I've gone out with a few girls who noticed me first because my feet were bare and most people's were not. This summer though, I have gotten lots of approaches from guys about my feet. A guy who has been at a few parties this summer, who also always goes barefoot and is known to be bi-sexual, has made advances at me and told me my feet are awesome. Even more interesting, I have had encounters by quite a few straight guys, usually other barefooters, who were interested in my feet. Any other straight people here swing towards the bi side when it comes to attraction to bare feet?
did u know that there's a whole 'erotic' industry out there totally devoted 2 feet. could we see a photo of them?
Maybe a little off your actual topic, but just a comment on this part. It's just my opinion - and I'm a guy btw - but I think generally girls do have nicer, better formed feet than most guys. It's not really a gender thing though, it's a foot abuse thing. Over the last 20 or 30 years, girls and women have tended to wear more flip-flops and other types of sandals that do not bind up the toes, as well as go barefoot a lot more than most guys. Guys are doing that much more lately, but generally it's more likely that their bare feet have been bound up for years and therefore their appearance does not look natural. On the other side of the coin, have you ever noticed how a lot of elderly women's toes and feet (if you ever get a chance to actually see them) are disfigured and kind of ugly? It's not due to their age. It's due to the horrible shoes that they've probably worn most of their lives.
Thats why more people should be encouraged to wear flip flops/go barefoot more and places should be encouraged to allow this because its more healthy to do so than to have your foot bound up in a shoe. I think most people who would go barefoot would be safe anyways because they realize theyre barefoot and their feet are more vulnerable and thus theyre more careful about where they walk. Wearing shoes really doesnt prevent people from hurting their feet or themselves anyways because people who wear shoes can step on things and get hurt just like barefoot people can.
Good post. All true as far as I can tell. Women finally began to break free about a generation ago (although I still see some high heels on occasion) while most guys are only now breaking free. By "breaking free" I mean not just bare foot but at least just getting into sandals or flops. The guys half my age I see now with unnatural looking (even ugly) feet are just showing them for the first time.
I've been told that I have well-formed feet, pretty feet; even sexy feet... I just give other barefooters a thumbs up usually. I tend to comment on many different things, regardless of someone's gender/sex; I'm just that kind of person.
Secretly, every one loves feet.... secretly, every one loves being barefoot... secretly, every one wishes they had as much fun as bisexuals.... secretly, I'm really a fire engine...
I'm bi and recently had gays who have been attracted to me feet...it was fun,,,,male/male barefoot fun
i'm just a plain old hetero male that really loves womens feet, i've never been attracted to mens feet in a sexual way, but i always look at other mens feet just to see what they look like, to see if they wear toerings or whatever (hardly ever see any). btw most mens feet are gross & should not be shown in public, but that's another topic.
They need to be exposed earlier and more often so they won't be so gross in public. While I also prefer (most) women's feet over (most) guys feet, I see no need for guys feet to be gross. That's another stupid part of this culture, is a double standard and also, way too many guys sign on to this. Too bad. Reminds me of the 70's when the same stuff was said about guys vs girls wearing shorts. (Guys were supposed to hide their legs, of course.) Do we have to go thru this whole thing again about feet? Although I do see a lot of flops and sandals on both sexes these days, which is an improvement over those dark ages.
True, if men's feet were bare and free they would look better. I think it's unfair to us guys that society tells us to cover our feet, why? Mine look just as good as most female feet. But on the other hand, most but not all foot fanciers are male and want to see smaller, softer and more delicate heels, soles and toes as in the case of females.
Slighly off topic, but many foot injuries happen from things falling on the foot. Hence the steel-toe boot. While steel toes are not nessesary for all things, there are plenty of situations where closed-toed shoes are a wise precaution.
