Does anyone know how I could go about getting on the pill with like no questions asked? I mean, I don't really mind going to see a normal doctor but I can't let my mother find out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Call your local clinic and ask for an appointment. Tell them that you're a minor, and they'll keep it on the D. L. It's usually free, but they might ask you how much money you make a week, be it from a job or allowance or whatever..... just say you live with your parents and mooch off of them..hehe...

But they won't usually take you without an appointment. And you have to get SMEARED!!! But it isn't that bad. Just relax and pretend it's Johnny Depp.

You can just go to the doctor and get the pill. They can't tell your parents, you're 18.

The people at the clinic know how to do everything. They have gynocologists there, and there shouldn't be any insurance stuff. They give it out free to most people...I never went, so I don't know, but I did take a couple friends of mine. It's very simple. And your parents never find out, unless you tell them.

you can go to planned parenthood. they're discreet. the only thing is, last time i went (several years ago) they made me pay, cause they said the gov't had seriously cut down on their funding. call and ask if they charge on a sliding scale or what....
if you go to your dr and don't use your health insurance, it's gonna cost a fortune. i wouldn't recommend going that route.
also...if you're 18, what's the big deal? i mean your parents might get mad, but what are they gonna do to you..are you just embarassed, or afraid?

ok.....i second the clinic suggestion. if you go to your regular doctor, even though you are 18, there are ways that your parents may find out. example: getting a bill in the mail.

as far as the clinics go.....there is one in the next town from me that i used to go to. i didn't have insurance, just went in, made an appointment.....

they will do an exam and give you the pills right there (most likely). they may also have you fill in a form about how much you make and insurance (because most of these clinics have a sliding scale for how much you pay).

ask around, i'm sure you'll be able to find one!

It's just the county health clinic. Look in the phone book. Or ask your regualar doctor if they know where one is.

Call and ask. They're usually pretty nice. It's really not that hard. It can just be a little weird.

Anytime....:) Did you find anything out yet? The sooner you call, the better, because they're usually pretty booked. All the girls I took had to schedule their appointments a few weeks in advance.

It can be hard to work up the courage. I went to my regualar doctor, because I knew her really well, but I got the Nuva Ring, which I don't think is free, so I have to pay $40 a month. $40 for a little plastic ring! It's ridiculous. But it really is worth it. You just have to buck up and do it.

When I was little, my mom told me that if I was ever having trouble with something to pretend I was filming a movie, so when I did it, I wasn't really doing it...I was just pretending. It sounds weird, but it can help...haha....please don't think I'm crazy. :D

Well I called some of he places but theu just wanted more info then I was willing to give. So I ended up Calling Planned Parenthood and have an appointment there next Thursday(17th). I didnt really want to drive that far(its only about an hour though), but I know its completely confidential and the girl told me that since I'm not working it is completely free for me. I just have one question to any people who have gone there. Are they gonna give me a prescription that I can have filled close to where I live, or am I gonna have to drive there every month to get it??? Thanks guys for all your support and replies

the health department here will give you free birth control, but to get it you have to get a pregnancy test and all sorts of STD tests. It is usually free and they do not tell parents.........................
i thought the only time a doctor can tell anyone your info is if you tell em your going to kill yourself or someone else???????
