I was talking with distant family that wasn't so distant when I was born. Turns out I wasn't born where the BC says. Mom was raised knowing her cousins pretty well, and they were together when I was born. Anyhow, my mom swears up and down that I was a c-section because my sisters before me were c-section. But her cousins are swearing up and down, no, her water broke and out you came.

So with that said, how do I change the BC to be more accurate?

Unless Your Mom Is Prepared To Make A "Stat Dec" Stating

Your BC Is Incorrect I Doubt You Can Do Anything...:(

    Cheers Glen.

Don't worry about it. Nobody out there (except you, apparently) cares if your birth certificate is inaccurate as to the route of birth (vag versus C.S.) I have only been asked for my birth certificate twice in my entire life, once when I applied for government student loans and once when I joined the Marine Corps. Neither time did anybody question the route of delivery.

Well, the problem is the BC says I was popped out in a hospital. Mom's cousins are swearing that isn't so. They were visiting my dad at work, up in the mountains, when her water broke. 40+ miles & back then 2-1/2 hours away from the hospital.

Why would it matter whether or not you were actually born in a hospital, as long as you have a valid birth certificate? I don't understand why it's so important.

    No.

Brother Hobo, if it was a huge important issue, then I'd hire a lawyer.

Well your mom probably went to the hospital after you were born and she was treated like any other woman who'd just had a baby and you were treated just like in another newborn in the hospital, which means the hospital gave your mom the birth certificate forms to sign and naturally it was already filled out with where you were born, because you were right there in the hospital where all the other babies who were there were born.
