I just started taking biotin. Apparently one of the side effects is cystic acne on the chin. 2018 has been the year of bad skin for moi, and my skin is finally clear after months of horrendous breakouts.

Any ladies have any experience with this vitamin? That particular side effect terrifies me.

I have also used it before. Can't say I saw any significant difference. No side effects.

Zinc seems to help my hair a lot.

    I can't take Biotin.

It gives me an itchy rash.

I take a zync and magnesium pill called hair, skin and nails. I find my nails really harden up and my hair get an oil of sorts that makes it easy to brush. There's also a liquid formula, but I end up taking too much because it's nicely flavoured and I swig it lol.

Gosh, I really don't remember my dosage. I just wanted to grow my hair out after the Pixie cut.

I absolutely hate it. The recommended dose is always too high because it basically seems to cause you to overdose on top of what your body naturally produces. I never saw any results. And I would still get terrible breakouts even when I would cut down the dose.

The temptation to try it again once I'm done with my medical treatment is there to see if it will make my hair grow back faster. But treatment has done enough damage to my skin and it's not worth the risk.

I have thought about taking it, but always find myself too lazy to stick to any supplement regimen.
