I am partly inspired to ask this question from Watching The Godfather Part2. Is there any real difference between the two?
lol, not so much but its like this: anything is legal if you do it the "right" way, exactly the right way to where its legal on paper you see (cross your t's and dot your i's and double check). and some things arent necessarily supposed to be legal but if all the businesses around you are getting away with it then you can probably get away with it too just dont get too big. theres a right way, and a wrong way to do things tho. once your company is that big and has that much money you should have no problem being as legit as 99% of companies your size and still make money .. no need to break every rule in the book. thats the main difference i think .. fake it till you make it is what they say. lots of people have to break a few rules in the beginning to make it just because there are so many regulations, fees, permits that you need for certain things etc but once you actually do make it there shouldnt be a need to fake it anymore organized crime, corporations, and politics are all intertwined .. doesn't seem to me like there should be a need for organized crime. it takes money to make money, but once you have the money you should be able to run legit business and make all the money you need so the only reason i can see for that is greed, and some people just dont wanna play by the rules for numerous reasons. ex. running a prostitution ring is not legal in america .. but running a legit escort business is legal, as long as you use the proper terms to describe the service your offering. everyone knows what the service really is but you can't openly say you're selling sex for money .. your paying for someone to spend a certain amount of time with you, what really happens during that time could be anything even tho most people know what most users of the service are after during that time
