has anyone been following the stories about Benazir Bhutto's assassination in Pakistan? GW and Co. have been making interesting noises about this one. seems to me this could be the next 'big thing'. only this time, we're talking about a country with nuclear weapons. if they follow the usual pattern, we'll start to see bigtime scaremongering until all the quivering sheep in the US are scared to death of being nuked by turban-wearing suicide bombers...then there will be a big patriotism push in the media, and the republicans will make the case that the country needs a strong military leader...which will probably work because the sheeple feel safer under a hawkish leader fond of posing on aircraft carriers and such.
well, so far they're saying Al Qaeda is the lead suspect in the assassination...and GW's friend Bin Laden has sent a tape...so yeah...here we go...
are you sure that would make a difference in GW's decisionmaking? i mean, they might need our 'help'.
true. bhutto was the only hope of a democracy, so now that she's dead, the us will probably play freedom fighters and intervene
I've been reading plenty of articles on the net about this, there are also many theories and hypotheses over who did it and why. It's sad that she was killed, she was a person who could have done so much good for her country. I think she was very brave...
bin laden's tape diddnt even mention the assasination. usually al quida likes to take responsibility for their actions. i dont think they had anything to do with it. it was either some random guy, or the US had her assasinated for an excuse to move along their plan for a dictatorship. bin laden is just this scapegoat in this
yeah, that's my point. he is the handy all-purpose scapegoat for GW to justify military intervention in other countries...no?
No she wasn't. She was extremely corrupt and nothing like what the media portrays her as. She was a puppet of the Anglo-American establishment, who were the ones ultimately pulling her strings. Her murder plays right into the hands of those who control Pakistan and want to keep the current leadership in power.
GW has invested $10 billion in military aid to pakistan since 9/11 and in spite (or because) of that the government is remarkably unstable. i guess $10 billion in american taxpayers' money doesn't buy much. pakistan has been under a state of emergency since november when the constitution was suspended. why we're giving money to perv musharaff, who obtained the presidency by military coup d'état, is an interesting question as well. this country is bordered by iran, afghanistan, india and china. GW has been saber rattling at iran for some time, we have already 'intervened' in afghanistan, and al quaeda has already been named as a prime suspect in bhutto's assassination. regardless of how you feel about the individual players, who wore the black hats and who wore the white hats, i think it's kinda obvious there's no way we're gonna see bush pulling back at this point. and this time there are definitely nukes in the picture too. fun fun. yee haw! ain't it great to be a cowboy?!
that seems to be what the medias making it out to be, at least that's what i read in the paper. that wasn't my personal view though
or both??? it's best get atleast one perspective in, and the media's is shown in the paper.. plus they have the most say, and give one a good guess of what may happen in the future. the media view on things is the only one that "matters" anyways. you fail to see i was speaking rhetorically you totally missed the point.
Without doubt or hesitation she lays it all out in a live broadcast. Blink an eye, and she's dead. Who was she the biggest threat to? The Pakistan Gov?... ...Or the United States? In the middle of her dialogue she smoothly says that (howeveryouspellit) Bin Laden was killed...and continues on like it's common knowledge, among a myriad of other pieces of information. So again, who was she the biggest threat to?
do you have a link to that broadcast? i've seen a lot of speculation that Bin Laden has been dead for some time.
I got it in a myspace bulletin, I don't have the link, but it was either a youtube video or a myspacetv video. I've heard the same speculation and I see it as the normal government post-cover-up work.
